He will face a tougher decision when it comes time to activate Davis.
But compared to some of the roster decisions he's faced ("Do I cut Cameron Maybin or Jake Hager so I can add Mason Williams?") that one will definitely be a First World problem.

It'll be Peraza. Don't think it's that tough a decision. He will face a tougher decision when it comes time to activate Davis.

Earned himself the closer role over all star Chapman probably.Gotta give credit where it's due. Chad Green closing the game with an immaculate inning was pretty impressive.
Yeah I suppose you're right. It's just that after all these weeks of shuffling spare parts, having to cut someone who's actually contributed somehow feels wrong. This is his final option year, and the Mets had already optioned him in April, so they can do so again. However, what I am not sure of is whether he now has five years accumulated MLB service. If so, he cannot be optioned without his consent. He could demand his release. Hopefully it does not come to that. I am sure he knows that in the event of an injury, he's next man back up.It'll be Peraza. Don't think it's that tough a decision.
really tough decision says Luis about Almora......roflmao......As stated above, the next demotion will be a tough decision when JD comes back......
Well he's not exactly gone. He's still on the 40 man, and still collecting his guaranteed MLB salary. If any outfielder goes down, he's back up. Not goodbye. More like until we meet again.Thank goodness Almora is gone.
Or until we pick up somebody like a McKinney Or Williams. Have to think we are continuing to lookWell he's not exactly gone. He's still on the 40 man, and still collecting his guaranteed MLB salary. If any outfielder goes down, he's back up. Not goodbye. More like until we meet again.
For sure. Peraza has had more than one big game winning or game tying type hits. Like home runs that have been the difference in a one-run winning. Been more clutch than several of the so-called offensive stars, of which several probably would have struck out in the spot where he delivered the game-winner in game 1.Yeah I suppose you're right. Not bad but was hoping Conforto would be given a day off.
Frank, I think I have you figured out. Your posts are ultra-pessimistic. If you're proven right, you take your bows. If you're proven wrong, you take credit for the turnaround, due to some reverse jinx or something.Oh well. Woodruff endless 0s penned in for rest of the night.
Your early game posts are like 1at quarter RU game thread posts. The gift that keeps giving.Oh well. Woodruff endless 0s penned in for rest of the night.
Draft update - the current buzz is that Kumar Rocker (one of the aforementioned Vandy pitchers) just might slide to the Mets at 10, as he had a shaky CWS. If so, the speculation is that the Mets will take him.I don't want to spend the a top ten draft pick on a HS pitcher. Too risky. Either of the Vandy pitchers would be nice but I doubt either will be available.
One unique aspect of the MLB draft is that picks are non-negotiable. Can't trade up or down. Nor can you trade a pick for an established player.
I looked at four mocks and each had the Mets taking a different player, so who knows.
Available to pitch this week?Draft update - the current buzz is that Kumar Rocker (one of the aforementioned Vandy pitchers) just might slide to the Mets at 10, as he had a shaky CWS. If so, the speculation is that the Mets will take him.
I have been hoping somehow he would fall to them. Fingers crossed as I don't think Leiter gets that far. Of the top ten picks, there are three pitchers, Rocker, Leiter and a HS kid. One catcher, one OF, and the rest are short stops. The catcher probably does not fall to us and we have a good one in Brooklyn. The OF has a similar skill set to the OF we took 1st last year. We are set at shortstop and Mauricio is coming up fast. Pitcher is really the area we need help and Rocker could come up mid way through next year and help the club.Draft update - the current buzz is that Kumar Rocker (one of the aforementioned Vandy pitchers) just might slide to the Mets at 10, as he had a shaky CWS.
