I thought Stock did a credible job. I think he could be a long man in the pen or spot starter down the road.

IIRC this will be the 9th Double header so far this season. The Mets have had to pitch nearly 18 innings less than they normally would had all games been played as scheduled and its only July. If both CC and Noah can get back healthy, there a chance the pen could be relatively fresh down the stretch.
I guess the Mets will be playing in October after all this year. They'll need to just to play all the makeup games, 😂
No help tonight either.. Wth. The Nats again giving it to SD on the road. Even without Schwarber. Jumped all over Yu Darvish who made the ASG over Tijuan Walker. Cubs continue to flounder like a fish out of water. Down 8-0 to the Phillies late.
Daniel Camarena, a relief pitcher who the Padres just called up, hit a grand slam off Scherzer to make it 8-7.
Only other time a pitcher had a grand slam for his first major league hit was in 1898.
The guy spent 11 years in the minor leagues, including one year in Trenton, before being called up earlier this year.

And I will be at tomorrow’s DH. Added bonus. I have partial season ticket plan for Mets for many years. I ll be controlled emotionally tomorrow because my wife will be at game with me who doesn’t like when I start to yell etc. lol.
Why DH Saturday and Sunday? I think the game tonight will be played without a problem. Tomorrow's games should be the same. The forecast for Friday and Saturday looks fine.
Due to the yelling, my wife will not watch a Mets game on TV with me. Which suits me fine as I am convinced she is a jinx.

Hopefully Nimmo is good to go. If game was to be played yesterday, Nimmo would not have started due to sore shoulder

Who cares. Bottom line our offense is no more productive than there's is, and those high ERA guys have tended to look like the return of Doc Gooden, John Smoltz and Pedro Martinez against us.
Does this increase the chance that Jacob starts on Sunday.? This guy Tropeano was mentioned as one who might get the start.
