To me the key is who starts tomorrow's games.Does this increase the chance that Jacob starts on Sunday.? This guy Tropeano was mentioned as one who might get the start.
Degrom may pitch Sunday , but that does not mean he has to start . It’s going to be a bullpen game either wayTo me the key is who starts tomorrow's games.
If they go ahead with Stroman and Megill, it suggests that the Mets are at least considering starting deGrom on Sunday.
On the other hand, if they knew for certain that one of the remaining games would be a bullpen game, I think they'd hold out Stroman for Sunday, and go with the bullpen in a seven inning game where they have an extra pitcher.
I don’t think I would throw deGrom in a “opener” game. I don’t really see the point. I would prefer to give him extra rest. Now, if the plan is 5 innings or 80 pitches, then I wouldDegrom may pitch Sunday , but that does not mean he has to start . It’s going to be a bullpen game either way
They better not be traded for an injury prone rental.Baseball Prospectus has done its midseason re-ranking of prospects. Mets have three in Top 40, and two in Top 20!
Francisco Alvarez #11
Brett Baty #19
Ronny Mauricio #40

How the fork does something like that happen?????
100% where would the Mets be buried if they didn't sign him? remember that the next time someone on here wants to bury Sandy!Congrats Tijuan on being named an All-Star for the 1st time. You earned it.
That is horrible. Prayers for the kid…but leads me to a question. Do the parents not have health.insurance? How the fork does something like that happen?????
This is the reason why Trevor Bauer wasn’t needed at that price. He wasn’t worth more than deGrom (and never will be). Good to see that they took a chance on a younger guy with talent at a reasonable price.100% where would the Mets be buried if they didn't sign him? remember that the next time someone on here wants to bury Sandy!
Otherwise you will be quite put out. They better not be traded for an injury prone rental.
This Mauricio kid, despite the hype, is 20 years old and hasn’t really hit anywhere he’s been in the minor leagues yet. I’m not sure how his speed is, but his stolen base numbers are bad too. Alvarez is younger and has been hitting from the get-go. He’s a real-deal prospect. Baty has been hitting this year too.Baseball Prospectus has done its midseason re-ranking of prospects. The likelihood that either Alvarez, Baty, or Mauricio will be traded for a rental (injury prone or otherwise) is zero. They better not be traded for an injury prone rental.
Brought back memories of Endy Chavez, with the glove positioned not just over the fence, but on the other side of the fence.Great play by Nimmo !!!!!!!!!
Robs a HR !!!!
He’s been the spark the Mets needed. Hope he can keep it up.
A lot of Bryant rumors. PS: I don’t want him either. I have as much faith of him in October as Lindor.
Check out all the othersBad take. His 2016 playoff numbers were fantastic.
Bryant hasn't been the same over the past year or two. Is he injury probe now? That's the last thing the Mets need.Bad take. His 2016 playoff numbers were fantastic.
It’s going to be degrom’s choice. Whatever he wants to do or not doI don’t think I would throw deGrom in a “opener” game. I don’t really see the point. I would prefer to give him extra rest. Now, if the plan is 5 innings or 80 pitches, then I would
I hope you didn't make a wager on that not happening. Please don’t lose this game 🤦♂️
