After we won the first of the seven I happened across a bunch of Mets fans on Twitter talking smack. Trying to trash the Bucs and talking about winning all 7 etc.Just did not have a good feeling about 7 in a row with the Pirates and this is heading towards very no bueno
When Doctor Worm starts to complain, it may get ugly. Nice job Nostradamus- first 1, 2, 3 inning of the game for Pirates pitching.0 for 12, including a DP, with runners in scoring position.
Having said that, now of course they probably won't get another runner in scoring position. That'll teach me to complain...
Phillies lost the 2nd of two. They won the first so if we lose to Pittsburgh we'll have lost 1/2 game to them on the day.Phillies lost. Washington losing 19-8. Braves in extra innings with Rays.
From what I have read, the Mets consider the current asking price to be way too high. The trade deadline this year is July 30. The price will likely drop by then. If it doesn't, then let him go.Get Bryant, enough already.
Agreed. It’s not early anymore.Stro one 1-2 guys that show any consistent life/energy. Conforto needs to Paul O’Neil a water cooler.
its always,” it’s early” , “when the games really matter” Blah blah blah
Damn. Expected based on yesterday. Had the Mets demoted Guillome yesterday instead of cutting McKinney, Guillome would be right up and we’d still have McKinney instead of BlankenhirnLindor to 10 day IL. Blankenhorn up.

Might not be his fault but that’s the way it goes when your team is asleep
C'mon man. People have different personalities. There is no one personality type associated with winning.Stro is one of the 1-2 guys that show any consistent life/energy. Conforto needs to Paul O’Neil a water cooler.

Well then they may as well put him on the 10 day IL right now, retroactive to Thursday of last week.
Doc, I have to disagree with you. While I do not doubt Lindor and Conforto care, I prefer the Dykstra, Backman, Pete Rose level of caring. Wanting to win so much you would run over their grandmother or Ray Fosse in an AS game. I watch Lindor at 2B at it looks like he is having a family reunion with every opposing player that reaches base. I cringe every time I see that.C'mon man. People have different personalities. I know all fans love the Paul Lo Duca (and to a lesser extent, the Jeff McNeil) personality type. Michael Conforto is a very different person. Doesn't mean he doesn't care. He cares more than you and I can ever imagine. Same with Francisco Lindor. Don't let the smile fool you.
You and I are both old school. My attitude is if you want to fool around with the other team - do it during batting practice - not during a game - like Lindor does every time someone reaches to 2b.Doc, I have to disagree with you. Will definitely miss his glove but I think getting him out of the 2-hole might actually help the lineup.I think we'll be fine while Lindor is out, we've been responding well all year with injuries and it's not like Lindor is having a strong season, plus we have Guillorme to step in till he gets healthy.
Now THAT is how to beat the shift. Is it me, or are teams starting to hit away from the shift? Meanwhile, the Mets continue to hit into the shift.
