Just did not have a good feeling about 7 in a row with the Pirates and this is heading towards very no bueno

0 for 12, including a DP, with runners in scoring position.

Having said that, now of course they probably won't get another runner in scoring position. That'll teach me to complain...
When Doctor Worm starts to complain, it may get ugly. Nice job Nostradamus- first 1, 2, 3 inning of the game for Pirates pitching.

Mets need some life in their lineup. The big trade can’t wait until July 31. And enough with Villar. He’ shot his load. Put in JD at 3b.

Will Crowe
RHP
1-5 6.03 ERA

Lose today fire Rojas

Might not be his fault but that’s the way it goes when your team is asleep

Great to see these hypocrites turn on Stroman because he’s 6-8, despite his 2.79 ERA. Imagine if the Mets sores 1 or 2 more runs in a couple of those loses?

Same people, along with Boomer Esiasson thought it was great when Gerrit Cole cursed out Aaron Boone on the mound and refused to leave the game. Imagine if Stroman did that? HOLY CRAP!!!!!!

Stro is one of the 1-2 guys that show any consistent life/energy. Conforto needs to Paul O’Neil a water cooler.
its always,” it’s early” , “when the games really matter” Blah blah blah

Lindor to 10 day IL. Blankenhorn up.
Damn. Expected based on yesterday. Had the Mets demoted Guillome yesterday instead of cutting McKinney, Guillome would be right up and we’d still have McKinney instead of Blankenhirn

With Lindor hurt, I wonder if Mets pivot to Trevor Story given Obliques take forever to heal.

C'mon man. People have different personalities. There is no one personality type associated with winning.

I know all fans love the Paul Lo Duca (and to a lesser extent, the Jeff McNeil) personality type. Michael Conforto is a very different person. Doesn't mean he doesn't care. He cares more than you and I can ever imagine. Same with Francisco Lindor. Don't let the smile fool you.

The Mets usually downplay the injury for about a week before placing the player on the IL and then later admit that the player’s arm fell off and it will require surgery. Since they passed over the bullshit stage and placed Lindor on the IL immediately, I’m expecting it’s pretty bad. 6-8 weeks is my guess.

I think we'll be fine while Lindor is out, we've been responding well all year with injuries and it's not like Lindor is having a strong season, plus we have Guillorme to step in till he gets healthy.

Doc, I have to disagree with you. While I do not doubt Lindor and Conforto care, I prefer the Dykstra, Backman, Pete Rose level of caring. Wanting to win so much you would run over their grandmother or Ray Fosse in an AS game. I watch Lindor at 2B at it looks like he is having a family reunion with every opposing player that reaches base. I cringe every time I see that.

You and I are both old school. My attitude is if you want to fool around with the other team - do it during batting practice - not during a game - like Lindor does every time someone reaches to 2b.

You can laugh and have as much fun as possible ....but if you are 1 for your last 15 and you hit absolute rocket back to the mound with the bases loaded and the pitcher closes his eyes and catches the ball , the gum bucket , bat rack or Gatorade bucket better look out.

ive played with people who 2 seconds after a gut wrenching heart breaking loss were completely ok with it ,

to bring it to Rutgers , I love Pacheco and how he gives it everything he has on every play. Non stop motor , emotions on his sleeve , not dirty , no cheap hits , and has blast while doing it !!!!!!!!

Will definitely miss his glove but I think getting him out of the 2-hole might actually help the lineup.
