Smith vs. lefties: 0.324, PIllar 0.188Smith better against lefties as well. Yet we continue to bench him against them.
You take lt, and then get the draft pick when he signs elsewhere after next year which he will.Ok, GM. What’s do You do when Conforto accepts it?
Except that you won't get the draft pick after next year. You only get the draft pick if you lose a player to whom you gave a QO in that same year. You take lt, and then get the draft pick when he signs elsewhere after next year which he will.
Well that sucks. There isn’t any way a team is going to sign Conforto long term after this year. So damned if we do and damned if we don’t. When healthy, he’s a slightly above average regular. Nothing great. Not a guy I want to build around.Except that you won't get the draft pick after next year. You only get the draft pick if you lose a player to whom you gave a QO in that same year.
For example, the Mets made Stroman a QO this year which he accepted. They can't offer him another next year. Only one per customer. If Stroman signs elsewhere next year, the Mets will receive no compensation. No QO, no draft pick.
Fast forward a year, and the same might apply to Conforto.
But what I think could happen is that the Mets make him the qualifying offer, and then he signs for one year with someone else. Maybe someone who plays in a friendlier park for lefty power hitters.Well that sucks. There isn’t any way a team is going to sign Conforto long term after this year. No sane front office willl sign Conforto for more than what the qualifying offer is worth for a year. But what I think could happen is that the Mets make him the qualifying offer, and then he signs for one year with someone else. Maybe someone who plays in a friendlier park for lefty power hitters.
He hit a slider and became a slider.Love me some Baez Part III. No one one this team turns that into a double.
Good hustle. Thin line between being a slider and dead meat.He hit a slider and became a slider.
Good play with two outs. Obviously, if he knew Davis would homer behind him, Baez stays put. I guess Davis didn't tell him. Poor communication. Reflects poorly on the manager.Good hustle. Thin line between being a slider and dead meat.
Nice crack by Davis.
Bases empty two outs.Second and third no outs
No runs.
same 💩 every game
Maybe- even a blind squirrel finds home plate sometimes? What about the Angry Squirrel?Bases empty two outs.
Two runs.
Different sometimes.

I was so hopeful for a potential gold mine with Rojas. Huge disappointment and needs to go.Good play with two outs. Obviously, if he knew Davis would homer behind him, Baez stays put. I guess Davis didn't tell him. Poor communication. Reflects poorly on the manager.
Never seen anybody that can slide like that. He was teasing Turner as he went by.He hit a slider and became a slider.
So your plan Is another year of Conforto at a substantial salary. You must like him as a player. And I’m not sure you’re getting your draft pick. You may have just been fired from the GM job.You take lt, and then get the draft pick when he signs elsewhere after next year which he will.
I hear you - but if we don’t the draft pick is gone if some crazy GM signs him. Really no win situationSo your plan Is another year of Conforto at a substantial salary. You must like him as a player. And I’m not sure you’re getting your draft pick. You may have just been fired from the GM job.
Their luck caught up to them…
Their pitching couldn’t carry the horrid offense all the way through, esp with the bullpen getting blown up after getting overworked all year…
But remember this was Chilli Davis’ fault that the hitters got worse after they fired him. And also it was his fault that they messed up the trading deadline and didn’t sign up their first round pick.are
I’m not holding my breath for a miracle. What would it take for you to get completely engaged again? For me they'd have to get within 4 games with a decent amount of time left in the season. If not it's all football. And it'd have to start now with a stretch of games against the Nats and Marlins following the season against SF. While the Braves get the NYY and SF at home before going West to play @Dodgers and Colorado. Colorado is very good at home. Around 20 or more games over .500
Same here. Not gonna get my hopes up but with our luck they'd cut it to 1 or 2 games going into the season ending series in Atlanta only to crush us at the end.I’m not holding my breath for a miracle.
Wait till next year… Again.
I believe they are the 0.00001% Yankees fans that didn't say to blown up their Yankees team just a few short weeks ago. THEY know who they are, lmfao. Frontrunner Central over in The Dead Zone.Who even are some of these clowns posting in this thread all of a sudden? Such as the one you replied to. I'm guessing they're not Mets fans that's for sure.
Start September 4 games or fewer out. Make up one game a week until the Brave series. What would it take for you to get completely engaged again?
