I don't drink, but if I keep watching Mets games, I may have to start.

With the Mets game unwatchable I tried to track Yankees-Braves but just couldn't stomach those Homer Braves announcers for long. They are terrible. This fool was talking about about how the Braves have been beaten up by AL teams and the analyst mentioned that tonight was the last AL team they'd play this season. So the play by play guy says until the World Series. 😆 The Braves have about as much a chance of making the world series as the Mets do. Maybe he was fooled by that nine game winning streak. Which came entirely against the Nats, Marlins and Orioles.

Nick Castellanos and Carlos Rodon anyone? Not a strong group overall though. At least not at positions of need.
I think the OF is a position of need. Castellanos alone has almost as many homers as the starting trio of Nimmo, Smith and Conforto. Much higher avg. as well.
Yeah, I mean there are not a lot of quality OF's or 3B
Agreed which means we will probably have to trade for one. I am ok with giving up anyone in the system with the exception of Baty, Alvarez and Allan.
Lindor is getting a day off today…lol. Hope someone else can replicate his 0-4.
Baez sure does make things happen on the basepaths. Sometimes good things, sometimes not so much.
He makes Lindor happy and Lindor has a nice smile and isn’t that what it’s really all about?
No problem with McNeil coming out swinging there. New pitcher who wants to throw a first pitch strike, and did. A very hittable pitch. Perhaps the best he would see in the AB. He missed it. Shit happens.

Don't you know Rojas doesn't believe in letting any starter go past the 6th inning. That's why the BP is beatdown.

They have a chance to tie the MLB record for a nine inning game, which is seven. Of course that would mean getting a baserunner with less than two outs.
Shit happens with him a lot. That's the problem. On both sides of the ball.
18 teams’ bullpens have pitched more innings this year than the Mets’ bullpen.
Watch Alonso try to play headline hero and swing for the fences rather than just a single that could win the game.
