They made it retroactive to Monday the 8th and since it's 7 days I guess he COULD return to face the Mets next week.
If he really has a concussion- he really shouldn’t even be warming up in 7 days

I do not know the protocol in this situation. I was just giving a ? Number of days. In football- pretty sure it is at least a week, if not 2. When my son got a concussion in training camp, NFL, it was 10 day’s minimum
No, I wouldn't go that far. I don't think anyone had anointed Kelenic as a generational player like Trout. But he was considered a "can't miss" prospect. While the jury is still very much out on him, he has gone from "can't miss" to "just might miss".
Diaz has been an enigma. He went from lights out in 2018 (with Seattle) to awful in 2019, to good but not great in 2020-21, to lights out again in 2022. Based on that track record, do you make him the highest paid reliever in history next year? Somebody will.

Dom Smith was optioned to Syracuse, where he had been on rehab assignment. It would certainly appear that his Met career is over.
Phils during their turnaround have 20 wins against sub .500 teams. We will learn how improved they are this weekend.
The concern for the Phils, despite the losing teams they beat, is they are an offensive juggernaut, even with Bryce Harper out. A couple of decent pitchers too. Seems that as soon as they unloaded Girardi, who was apparently their albatross, they soared. Damn, that was a beautiful sentence if I don't say so myself.

Looks like Schwarber will be missing at least the first two games. Kind of leaves them now with Realmuto and Hoskins…
Their starters are actually pretty good. Their fielding sucks and without Schwarber, they become a team with a lot of holes.
I never added the SNY package and since MLB network is always a blackout- I only get to see the games on espn and apple. So, I’m loving it.

Mcneil cut his thumb, presumably spiked by 1st baseman when he awkwardly slid into him to avoid a tag on the basepaths.
Mets removed two no name AAA infielders from the lineup tonight. Kept Vientos in the lineup so it looks like he won’t be getting the call if there’s an IL stint.
Don’t understand this at all. Diaz’s advantage is he can stop the designated runner from scoring with strikeouts. Either wait until the 10th to use him or pitch him again since he only had 7 pitches.
