Not in the case of say Baty and this guy Grissom. At least one fact missing in this vast generalization is that more often than not the Braves have been calling up better prospects.

Also, the Stank-ees are going with their 3rd closer attempt. What do they say about coaches who say they have 3 QB's, they have none, lol. 🎺 ⚾ 🎺The beautiful thing about this season. Look at teams like the Yanks who traded some pretty good minor league talent at the trade deadline. So far it has not paid off. We still have at least 5 players that will either be playing for us next year or will be a trade chip for major league talent. Everyone from the players to Buck, the GM, hitting and pitching coaches getting the job done. LFGM
Sounded like the Philly announcers during yesterdays game.Excuses I have heard from people associated with the Braves (fans, media, even players) after we beat them 4 of 5 during our just completed homestand.
1. Mets are just lucky. They don't hit the ball hard
2. Instant replay cheats for the Mets because it's located in New York
3. Their payroll is higher than ours they're supposed to beat us
4. Their owner is corrupt
5. This was their World Series but meant nothing to us.
Anybody else see or hear any good ones?
Maybe. But the comparison was to how the Braves elevate younger players while the Mets don't. The elephant in that chat room is the quality of the prospects, and the Braves have been producing a load of top-level talent from their minor leagues for years. Not in the case of say Baty and this guy Grissom.
Was the same leaving the Keith # retirement game. My daughter was there for the traffic fiasco Sat. At least both games were worth the inconvenience. We were in the blue lot for a couple years and it was the same deal. We just set the tailgate back up knowing we were stuck for at least an hour. I know they changed the traffic pattern since to make it better. It was crazy getting out of parking lot I park in last night. This is what happens with sellout crowd and everyone stays until end of game.
It’s not true at all actually. Harris was the 61st ranked prospect in baseball when he was called up. Vaughn was like 90 something. Austin Riley was ranked 34 when he was called up. Albies was 17th ranked. Not in the case of say Baty and this guy Grissom.
I have not seen Baty play but did see a bit of Maurico in spring training. He can play 3B or SS. I understand Baty is a better prospect but Maurico hits right handed and can play against lefties until Escobar can return to hitting from the right side. It’s not true at all actually. It’s right in line with Alvarez and Baty.
This has to be Baty’s time if Guillorme is out for an extended period and Escobar playing through injury.
You might want to look at the actual production of the prospects produced by the Braves' minor leagues in recent years, and not whatever ranking you grab for the internet and decide to treat as determinative. It’s not true at all actually. Yes, and then compare.Should we look at actual production of Mets prospects? deGrom, Nimmo, Alonso, McNeil, Lugo, Guillorme. Not like we haven't produced anything over the years.
Harris is probably the ROY favorite right now.Maurico would struggle to hit MLB pitching. Baty is way more advanced and should be the call even though his D is not the best.
Vaughn Grissom is a good prospect but not on the level of Harris, Riley, Albies, Acuna. Of course he can still play above his rank.
Usually comes out few hours before game. I bet we hear something in the 3-4 range.I wonder why no news on Guillorme at this point. I'm sure he must have been going for his imaging pretty early this morning in order for the brass to be able to determine what if any move would be necessitated.
Baseball NY said Guillorme would likely be out three weeks. Everyone has different answers.
You can't have this guy on the roster for 4 to 6 weeks and expect him not to have a negative impact.Don't understand this Marrero nonsense. Guy was playing for the LI Ducks to start the year and can't hit for sh*t.
Ok- then let’s hard hit the pornstash off of Strider tonight…soft or hard hits- let’s keep winning…Philly has taken up the rallying cry of the Braves in complaining about the soft-hitting Mets. Both teams claim the Mets will be exposed in October.
He is a middle infielder. The Mets needed a backup middle infielder in Guillorme's absence. You can't have this guy on the roster for 4 to 6 weeks and expect him not to have a negative impact.
