If the Braves lose again tomorrow and the Mets win the next two, do you pitch DeGrom on Wednesday?
I wouldn’t. deGrom hasn’t looked himself and the chances of the Mets winning and the Braves losing on that last day are not great. I’d save him for the best of 3. I think that will be a dogfight regardless of who they play.

You don’t pitch degrom Wednesday no matter what . That would be an all time boneheaded move.
Now if the game is moved to Thursday then yes .

That’s what makes Escobar so frustrating. He swings at a pitch that bounced.

who would have thought only a few days ago that McNeil could overcome .07 in the batting race...

Actually very curious on the DeGrom situation. What’s going on with him?

The knock has been the dude will lose games 1-0 on a solo shot for his only hit of the game and then get no run support.

What’s been going on with him lately? Still hurt?

he has given up more HR's than Walks this year...And he can look unhittable for 5 innings and then the HR's start.

Honestly he might be okay against SD.

Lately we’ve been very aggressive swinging early in the count, which is great when it works. Often times it seems the pitch count stays so freaking low for the starters next thing you know it’s the 8th inning and the setup man is coming in.

This is why our win rate is super high when we jump on pitchers in the 1st and 2nd innings.

yeah- deGrom is usually still unhittable early. And also hard to get a rally on- he walks no one and it isnt usually singles and doubles that get him- it really has been the HR

Good thing we can’t slug this season 🙃

Well Buck isn't giving up. Brings in Diaz for the four out save. He got the first one. Mets 4, Nats 2, mid eighth.

Well, these two wins have us all watching the Atl/Mia game. If a miracle happens there, our game two is insane. Just need Braves to lose…

Don't blame them. They gave us one. We have no business expecting three. We may yet get three, but we have no business expecting it.
I hear you and they are playing tough. All I know, yesterday, they gave us today. They have 9 outs to beat Atl tonight and that means it is all down to last game. That would be a gift.

Yes Miami at least hasn't laid down and played dead. Just couldn't deliver the game changer hit. Kind of like us this weekend. They left the bases loaded in the 8th and now down to 3 outs

Quick question (which assumes that the Mets hold their 7-0 lead) - When was the last time the NL East had two 100 game winners?

The quick question is a trick question. The answer is never. Picked the wrong year to win 100 and not 101.

Mets should yank all the starters right now…except McCann.
Can't. Only have five bench players, and two of them are catchers.

I would pull Alonso and put Vientos at first.

Pull Lindor, move Guillorme to short, try to pull McNeil too but not sure how.

EDIT: Vientos at third, McCann at first, Alvarez C, Gore in for Nimmo, McNeil still in.
