I know what you said and it's still wrong. 2 months doesn't equal a better hitter especially one as good as Albies with his track record. Arcia going to fall back to earth big time with regular ABs. It's like the people who thought Jankowski was a good hitter after his hot 2 weeks but then fell back to the crappy hitter he is after he got too much time.
OK, buddy. Arcia just homered. He's 2/2 with a Sac fly, a run scored and 2 RBIs tonight. Lighten up on "wrong." Albies was trending down this year. It happens. I'm not going to take a hard stand like you and maintain you are wrong and I am right. Players have off years and decline. All I said is that Arcia is "probably an upgrade at the plate." So it's not wrong. It's fun being right (for one night).
You have to figure Lindor/Alonso are sure things for AS game. McNeil and Diaz should be as well. Would love to see LG but with the guys above home plus Marte, Nimmo. Canha- we are going to have a few guys left off.

Given baseball has been severely lacking in the small ball dept in recent years, I see it as a good thing.

His batting stats have been declining since 2019. Down in 2020, down further in 2021, trending lower in 2022.
I qualified my original post with that, and said "probably."
Thus, why I said with a middle prospect for a MR...
My thoughts deeper on this- take a reliever with a fairly substantial contract off someone's hands. They get Dom who makes nothing, good fielder and has hit at this level.
We wouldn't get a big name but maybe a good piece of the puzzle while freeing up money for a different team.
Mets did Dom (and themselves) no favors by announcing to the world that he can't play the outfield. Yeah I know they never said that. But they announced with their actions, which matter more than words.
