We were one wild pitch away from being swept
by one of the worst teams out there. Quite pissed is putting it mildly.
It happens. wouldn't worry too much as your closest teams are not making a move. So, you really arn't losing any ground. As I said earlier- the regular season is not going to be an issue- but Cashman has to have his eye on the prize and WS or bust this year.

The issue becomes losing home field to the Astros.

Right now, the pitching is dogshit.

Rizzo has really been impressive tonite.

Gallo belongs in slow pitch beer league.

Pitching typically struggles in the heat of July and August. Fantasy baseball has shown me that over the years. Just need to be ready for September and October.

Far from DS but not what it was. You also do not have Judge carrying a win every night now either. Yanks can afford a little mid July slump as no one else in your division is playing well except Balt. And they are not going to be a factor. I don’t believe the Yankee lead ever goes into the single digits.
But you are right- it is mostly about Astros and Dodgers at this point

What a fvcking half asked effort tonite.

With a chance to win the game, back to back innings with a runner on third with less than two outs and they pissed on themselves.

And another double digit KO nite.

Get Gallo/Hicks/Chapman on the first bus to Scranton.

Definitely need to move on from Gallo and Hicks. And Higashioka has earned less playing time.
Oh...and #99 looks to be in a slump.

Yanks 2 for 15 last night with runners in scoring position..
Trevino and Torres particularly frustrating as they each were up with the bases loaded and one out with a chance to put the game away.

Tough stretch after the All-Star game for the Bronx Bombers.....double header at Houston on Thursday, then three at the red-hot Orioles, and two in Queens.
BTW, who would you rather have with a bat in their hands...... Locastro, Gallo. or Wade ?

Gallo would be my last choice on earth.

I'd be shocked if Gallo is still wearing pinstripes come August 3rd.
The Post also reported the other day that they're out on Benintendi because he's not vaccinated.

Why in the world would someone in his position not be vaccinated ?
He didn't know his team had games scheduled in Canada ?

They had a three game series in Toronto in May and they left him home for it. Seems almost silly to refuse at this point, but I know one or two other ppl that think the same way.

Does what they're doing really qualify as "thinking" ?

I set the DVR, looking forward to the show. Will Jeter finally back up the truck on A-Rod? :)
I don't think so. He will have jabs at him but from all in the know they never hated each other. Not best friends but both knew the team was better with the other. I want to see Jeters comments on Cashman screwing with Jeters contract and him screwing Cashman on the contract dump on the Yankees with Stanton. What a win for Jeter.
