Reading that it would cost the Top 4 prospects plus Patrick Corbin and his contract.

I'd thank my lucky stars for Carpenter and not make the trade.
Corbin contract is the albatross- you give up any prospect needed.
almost zero percent chance a prospect becomes Soto in his 23/24/25 years…

You can't pay Soto and Judge top money. Getting Soto means saying goodbye to Judge. I don't think the Yankees are in that frame of mind right now.

I think the Yankees go after Reynolds for the outfield, if he heals up.

You can get Soto, pay Judge and see where the lan$cape is in 2024. Soto is under control for the next 2.5
It would be ideal to pick him up but if Soto is in this lineup- it would be impossible to pitch too

I understand that, but there's no way the cheap-o Yankees are going to have 4 potential 30 million dollar players on a payroll post 2024. Soto will be making 20+ million after arbitration next year.

We can dream though.

I don't think the Yankees are as desperate as many of the other teams are to make some big move to improve their chances. And why should they be ? They're sitting in a pretty good spot right now.

Love judge but 23 vs 30 years old is huge.
A lot easier to sell tix in NY than dc
I still think there is no harm in signing Soto and then giving Judge his money. You would have the remainder of this year plus 2 more where the lineup would be insane. 2 years from now- decide if you can sign Soto as well or move him for a ton of prospects.

You're a Mets fan so what the hell do you know what the Yankees should? You just keep posting questions to argue about. It's funny Mets fans don't like you either!

You are the only one so up in arms. As I have said many times over the years- yes, I am a Met's fan. I am also a Jet's fan, Knicks fan and a Rangers fan. But, I enjoy all the other NY/NJ teams unless we are playing each other.
There is nothing I have posted here that should get you so worked up as it is just baseball conversation. No trolling(like you like to do) and no trying to be a dick-
I may post a question- it is to discuss and it is because I would like to hear what others have to say. And appreciate the opinions. I am a baseball fan.
Funny thing- I also post over on the Philly thread in a very similar way- and not one single person has an issue and all of them engaging. The fact you get so worked up says a lot about you.

Am I the only one that thinks it's time to start shopping Gleyber?

Gallo...just why?

I was thinking same when he didn’t run out grounder…again.
And even though he was in short right he wasn’t even in the picture in IKF throw to 2nd.
Reminds of Soriano

Go get Merrifield from the Royals. Much better defensively.
They just can’t beat the Astros. they need a fundamental change at the deadline or they will likely lose to the Astros in the ALCS. it’s time to big game hunt. If no Soto, need castillo and happ.

I'm really not sure that's enough. The NYY simply can't match Houston's pitching as things stand now. And the Astros will likely have home field by the end of the season.

My question is does Boone survive without a WS appearance?

Wrong board, who cares what a Non Yankee fan says.
I am sure it is something that Yankee ownership asks too. I would say that with age and potential over the next 10 years- Soto may have the stats to beat out Judge...But...That could have been said about Jeter as well. Judge is the face of the Yankees and that may as or more valuable than anything else.
If I am the Yankees, I want both but certainly not going to cry if we only end up with Judge.

Chapman...LOL

What a bum.

Cashman...Cmon, you know what has to be done. Cut your losses. Pretend it's a poker game.

And this on the heels of King with arm/elbow issues.

A one-man bullpen isn't gonna cut it.
It looks like King is out for the season.

The bigger question, does Cashman survive? Put together a team that still includes Gallo and Chapman. Also let Judge get to free agency.

This thread is awesome. Read all the previous comments and assumed they lost. We're also back to firing Cashman again. Plus, Gallo hit what was the game winning home run, ultimately.
