Spoken like a true partisan hack.I couldn’t agree more.
That didn't answer the question. Conservatives only fought it because they fight anything liberals want and they decided to act like they care about whales to kill it.Whales are very important for the marine ecosystem. Gotta protect them and our beaches.
NJ Dems =
Methinks the baby whale killer doth protest too much.
Whale killers are after you!Uh oh, baby whale killers unite!!
This - "Trenton heard from the people and got scared." - is 100% NOT what happened.NJ offshore wind may not be dead, but any projects close enough to see from the beach are DEAD. Trenton heard from the people and got scared. Pols care more about their reelection than they do about clean energy.
How can any adult that has seen so many of these bait and switch deals by various developers who need approvals by local governments.... how can anyone who has seen decades of projects not being what they showed you to get approval... how can they believe anything the developers say and trust teh "owned" politicians to write restrictive wording into contracts that disallow teh bait and switch?Yes. OC has computer renderings by a 3rd party that Orsted couldn't refute. These farms were only 13 miles offshore. You are citing a different project in the article (which is 30 miles further offshore). Apples and oranges.
While fighting FOR green energy. What are conservatives fighting for?
NIMBYism is profoundly stupid when the biggest complainers aren't stakeholders.

LOL! I voted Democrat my entire voting life until 2014. Nice try though!Spoken like a true partisan hack.
Isn't it contrary to the duties of a moderator for you to be stoking bullshit in a thread?
This - "Trenton heard from the people and got scared." - is 100% NOT what happened.
I believe you, I really do.LOL! I voted Democrat my entire voting life until 2014. Nice try though!
The same people who otherwise have called environmentalists every name in the book for decades suddenly care about whales. I guess oil rigs all over the Gulf of Mexico (not to mention spills) magically aren't bad for whales but if a windmill is attached they are.Come on.
Isn't it fun to watch people who care about mass shootings and children being slaughtered in a bowling alley last week and who cheer on bombs being dropped on refugee camps pretend to care about whales?
It's up there with them having a board where there demand public colleges offer less free speech protection than Twitter.

Seems fair. Homeless shelter, too. And a prison. And recycling facility, since they care about the whales. And humanity.Similarly I am for an oil rig assuming it's built in Montgomery.
Spoken like a true partisan hack.
Actually I'm the only one who will criticize his side. I'm only non-partisan hack.Nobody does that better than you.
So THAT'S when that brick landed on your head.LOL! I voted Democrat my entire voting life until 2014. Nice try though!
Liberals are on full tilt with this news. Amusing to watch!Nobody does that better than you.
^^^^It's a shame that every topic on this board is quickly perfused with T2k's aggressive retardation.
Yeah….and knocked some sense into me!!!So THAT'S when that brick landed on your head.
Have at it. I’d prefer that right in Beesleys Point over windmills in the ocean. At least we know the facts on nuke plantsNo worries Nuke plant gonna get built to make up for no Wind Farms. I'm sure you nitwits will enjoy that. Can you say ground zero?
Terminating the Constitution, the right to beat the police with the American flag after losing a landslide election, the ability to cancel votes they don't like, the ability to interfere in women's healthcare, banning immigrants, Russia, a "billionaire" who is an adjudicated rapist, the right to ban speech on college campuses, book bans, the right of domestic abusers and the mentally ill to walk around with AR-15s
Where do you come up with this stuff? Chat GPT? Seriously. . . .Come on.
Isn't it fun to watch people who care about mass shootings and children being slaughtered in a bowling alley last week and who cheer on bombs being dropped on refugee camps pretend to care about whales?

We talked about this several times in the original thread. I had zero issue with people questioning the financing and cost to taxpayers for this project and it certainly sounds like some of those objections were fair.follow the money is what I have been screaming about the whole time. There was way too much money being flitted about and laws being changed for the good of a foreign company. The whole project was being rushed and shoved down everyone's throats and you can guarantee the costs were going to be 2 or 3 times what they were telling everyone when it was all said and done and NJ taxpayers would be on the hook for whatever it was, because you know, NJ.
Lots of joy in OCNJ today but I'm sure Murphy isn't going to give up that easily.

While I hesitate to say that the Ocean Wind Farm War is over, we had a massive victory today. When this initiative was presented to Ocean City's Council a few years back, it was pitched with a great deal of pressure. Those of us who asked questions were made out to be against the environment...ocnjdaily.com
Please, don't start with windmills and the faux environmental impacts. The science is very well known that there are minimal environmental impacts from windmills as several of us have posted over the past year. And that's why this project isn't dead, per se, just delayed until we can get a better financial deal (which NJ deserves).Have at it. I’d prefer that right in Beesleys Point over windmills in the ocean. At least we know the facts on nuke plants

The traitor in your avatar would burn the country to the ground if he was just a bit smarter.Democrats will kill America!
^^^this is what happens when you are forced to watch msnbc and read motherjones.com. Sad.Terminating the Constitution, the right to beat the police with the American flag after losing a landslide election, the ability to cancel votes they don't like, the ability to interfere in women's healthcare, banning immigrants, Russia, a "billionaire" who is an adjudicated rapist, the right to ban speech on college campuses, book bans, the right of domestic abusers and the mentally ill to walk around with AR-15s

LOL! Nice try.Just heard that the project is not done.
Contract moves to the next low bidder and the State will seek reimbursement per terms in the contract from the original contractor.
Union contractors are continuing to work on the project
