OT: Will NYC, NB, Philly, Balt, DC (and more) go snowless this winter?

All Ima gonna say is many know it has nothing to do with weather.

I have heard from lurkers that they enjoy Numbers' posts. The other two clowns, not so much. And the other two post 100+/day even as all their various theories melt away and their heroes lose.

It really is obviously a mental health issue as others have pointed out. The sad thing is that the clowns are favored. Any other board they'd have both been permabanned years ago.

I’m mocking him for going back on his word. Which I called.

I don’t give af what he does. I actually find his posts amusing. Embarrassing but amusing.

Especially the hairy Asian bush pornhub mishap. Greatest post ever.
Hairy Asian bush post? Did that have something to do with a cold front coming in?

We keep climbing up the Top 5 list for most consecutive days without snow in Philly. 323 days through Sunday, and it will be 324 days after today. However, we do have a shot at some snow Tuesday night through Wednesday morning. Could the streak be broken then? All we need is 0.1" snow. Stay tuned!

Wow, 616 days in a row in 1972-1973! Thanks for the info...

Finally got on the board with 0.5” earlier this week lol.

Bought a snowblower back in November for the new house so we are 100% not getting snow this winter.
That a boy. I helped us all out last year with my purchase of an Arien's snowblower. It's got all the bells and whistles. They do make for really nice coat racks or glove holders. It's the perfect accessory for any man's shop or garage.

Is the shade on that map OFFICIALLY South Jersey? 😎

Certainly not worth a thread, but worth noting in this thread about snowless winter potential. Here's the NWS map for the potential light snowfall Tuesday night into Weds morning. Note that some models show 1/2-1" up into Philly to NYC and most of CNJ/NNJ, but some still show nada.

Wow, look at the incoming blizzard - might need a new thread now, lol. NWS is now forecasting 1/4" or more of snow area-wide late Tues/early Weds, which would be enough to break the snowless streaks (for places that get 0.1" of snow). The NWS-NYC is not buying this at all, as they're not predicting any accumulation for NENJ (Union up to Bergen), NYC and LI.

Interesting how buying snowblowers didn't work at all from 2000-2020, the snowiest 20-year period in NYC, Philly, and some locations in NJ. Hmmm.

NWS for Belmar-Farmingdale says:

Friday Night
Mostly clear, with a low around 7. Blustery.
Saturday
Sunny, with a high near 21.
I'm going to miss the cold, but I decided to get a VRBO right on the ocean in the Vero Beach area for a week (starting Saturday) so we could get the whole family together which hasn't happened in several years and who knows when it might happen again (my wife and I, our son and his GF, my dad, my sister and her SO and my brother and his SO - with our dad being almost 90, you never know, as our mom died at the beginning of COVID from cancer). My sister's place can only really hold 6, plus it's nice enough, but the rental is pretty spectacular.

The answer to this question is yes, NJ will miss snow this year, well at least any noteworthy snow.

I just had my Ariens serviced - new belt, etc. Therefore, it will get no use this year.

For you snow haters, you can thank my by sending me money, Pro-V1s or some nice bourbon.

We will be on Marco Island Feb 8-14, with a day trip to Boca for a wedding on the 11th.
Have fun!

We have a Macro visit planned for mid-June. Looking forward to it. Had to cancel our last trip the day before the world shut down. LOL!

Bruh (LOL), bring LOTS of sunblock. It's hotter than Hades in the winter there. I think my better half has an entire carryon full of sunblock for February. We are taking a fast ferry over to Key West one day.

Agreed. Not ideal timing, but we want to get down there to make up for the cancelled trip. Hang at the resort, couple charters and shell collecting, Naples Zoo, shopping/dining in Naples, pretty chill vacation.

I’m working in Orangeburg NY today. Some light snow falling now. Not sticking to anything but grass and dirt. I guess this won’t count as measurable snowfall?

Same. I bought the Arien's last year as well. Used it once last year. Haven't even thought about it until this thread.

The latest snowfall maps from the NWS-Philly and NYC, showing measurable snow for the entire area late tonight/early Weds, as any snow that falls after midnight will accumulate with temps at or below 32F. Easy for this to be "wrong" and no snow accumulates though, since an error of <0.5", which is tiny (it's only 0.05" of liquid equivalent), would be enough to go from a small accumulation to nada. While not a big deal, areas that get 1/2" of snow could have some slick spots prior to sunrise - and there are models that show up to 1" of snowfall. Crissing fingers for some snow...

By the way, this January is now, officially, the warmest ever in NYC, at 43.5F, which is 9.9F above normal (and 0.3F warmer than Jan 1932). That's March like weather.

SNOWING in Robbinsville Bitches!!

.0004 in of accumulation as of 1:48PM EST
I was down in SNJ today, where we had some sleet and light snow on the disc golf course in Voorhees from about 12-3 pm and there was intermittent snow and sleet on the drive back to Metuchen and then we had more mood flakes in Metuchen after 4 pm as my wife and I ate a late lunch at Hailey's. I'll be up in the wee hours just in case...

Been snowing lightly here for about 20 minutes at 29F and we officially have a dusting. which is about 0.1", so my snowless winter is over, lol. Looks like most places are getting some measurable snow in E PA, most of NJ, NYC/LHV/LI, with my guess being that some bands have delivered at least 1/4" for some and maybe close to 1/2". Woohoo!

You ever been to Revs Institute in Naples? If you're a car guy you'd probably like it.

Measurable snow in Central Park this morning. At least 1/4 inch. Cancel school!

Was outside this morning around 8 am and measured about 0.2" of snow on my car top and back deck (all surfaces were covered, but paved surfaces were covered unevenly). Just got back and we actually still have about the same amount as of 9 am, so very little melted (it's up to 29F from a low around 27F, so it's been below freezing). Schools had a delayed opening (just kidding).

Central Park recorded 0.4", Philly recorded 0.3", and DC/Baltimore recorded at least 0.2" so the snow drought is over for all of the major I-95 cities. So the answer to the thread question is obviously "no." Still a really crappy winter so far and below record low levels for Newark/NYC (but not Philly and DC who have had snowless winters), so that's the next question to answer.

You post on Twitter and another board like your life depends on it.

Talk about an attention whore.

Maybe that pornhub hairy Asian bush fetish link was just to get mocked. At least it’s attention right?
