It ridiculous soccer should be played on grass fields if these schools don't have grass fields they should not get the games period

As a small tangent, it’s worth noting that Hoboken NJ’s Div-III Stevens Tech men’s soccer hosts a 3rd round match.
Recruiting student athletes to Hoboken has gotten better through the years.

Recruiting student athletes to Hoboken has gotten better through the years.

From a couple friends who went to school there at the time, Stevens was willing to take warm bodies from the student body for D3 soccer and lacrosse 30 years ago. Folks who never played either sport in HS.

I hope it is no where near as windy down in Philly this evening as it is here near this shore this afternoon. Yes both sides have to deal with weather conditions but it can really impact how the game is played depending on the direction of the wind. Also results in a greater chance for fluke events/ goals.

Lots of truth to that. Not to say they didn’t have some good players in both sports, but there were players on the roster who might not have competed in a serious way on the high school level.

RU won the game that mattered so anything else is nice to have. Being down 2-0 is disappointing, but over a half left to make it interesting. Even if they lose great strides finishing 2nd, winning the B1G and making tourney.
