We’re 3-5 in the opening round. 3 of those losses we know were weak at that weight. Poz is clearly hurt or something. Olivieri just got caught in a cradle. Not ready to write off the program yet. Definitely not A great season to this point but I don’t think there’s major cause for concern overallProgram needs to really take a look internally and make some adjustments. I can’t imagine anyone is happy with this from coaches to wrestlers to fans.
He is not hurt but you might be right about itI hate bagging on Poz because he's one of my favorite wrestlers. But I'm sensing he's very burnt out. This has happened so many times in the last month or so. If this was an injury the coaches would have addressed this and sat him out. Regardless if he wanted to wrestle or not. I'm going to tell you this from being a wrestler, that he is totally fried and I've seen it a million times
Yeah, there is when every season looks like this after great expectations at the start. Next year... expect anything different? We’re 3-5 in the opening round. 3 of those losses we know were weak at that weight. Poz is clearly hurt or something. Olivieri just got caught in a cradle. Mr perrotti how are you? I'll be honest with you, and your son and myself have gone through this, it's really kind of getting your head out of your butt and really seeing if you want to do this. The kid really achieved a lot, as a freshman. I think he has that I can't win the national championship so what's there to prove at this point.. syndrome. You really can't blame the coaching staff, because this happens at even the highest level of Big ten teams. I think the best thing to do is redshirt him next year. That way he could take a little break, and figure out if he wants to push it to the next level. He really is a next level talent and a super great kid. The problem is is that the New Jersey big mouths in the wrestling community are relentless on this kid. The reality is, your son pause and even myself at my elder age with tear any of these people apart. Unfortunately they don't care they just want results. So he's going to have to deal with it and either stay with the team or just pack it in. There's no middle groundRUcrackers I value your wrestling knowledge. BTW you and my son have something in common. 2x AA. What’s your take on Poz. I seen this before with wrestlers. He just does not hit is bread and butter shots. Was really good on countering opponents Shots. What do you think.
Not every season looks like this. 3 AAs last year, a program record. The year before covid we had two national champs. You’re an idiot though so whateverYeah, there is when every season looks like this after great expectations at the start. Next year... expect anything different?
Agree 100%. The BIG is a grind. Poz has the talent. Maybe a RS break is needed like you said. I feel Poz’s best years are to come. We understand what they go through and get the big picture.Mr perrotti how are you? I am good. Just watching the sport I love. Watched NJ states last two days. Now the real wrestling. Be good. Again you know this sport better then most. I understand your not wanting your name out there. Your served RU well. 👍Agree 100%. The BIG is a grind. Poz has the talent. Maybe a RS break is needed like you said. He looks like one of the crows from Heckel and Jekyll...what a tool he is!Suriano with corn rows??? LOL!!!
Suriano looked like he was back in top form.Shawver is wrestling his balls off and it’s still not really close with Suriano. That kid is different.
Pleeeeaase. Stop with the injury excuse ..he was not hurt seriously ..he is getting beat plain and simple ..maybe guys have figured him out as opposed to last year ..sometimes you all expectations just might not be realistic ..Poz WTF? I know Crackers says fried but it's an amazing coincidence when he got injured this year, that he totally went south after that. Some initially hinted he would be out several weeks and it could have been a serious injury. Eventually, he might have missed only one match but a switch was flipped. I'm guessing injury. Bulsak, looked strong and had some great takedown defense today. But that worries me a little as he was letting his opponent get in pretty deep on shots. Can't let that happed with the better guys. Boone? Another head scratcher. No fight. He should have just laid down on his back and got it over with quicker. I know it's the B1G, but it looks like we sent our JV team to Nebraska. I hope the next round goes much, much better for all.
How's your boy doing? Wasn't he working in some company with Scott Winston, or was going too? I know he was coaching for a while at West Essex. Yes, the best thing for him is to rest, refocus and regroup. I can't put it any other way. I went through it, your son did, and we both came back better the next time around.I am good. I don’t think he’s been figured out, his effort flat out sucks in matches compared to last year and even early this year. Something beyond getting outwrestled is going onPleeeeaase. How are expectations unrealistic for a 4th place NCAA All-American to beat a 10th seed at B1G’s?..sometimes you all expectations just might not be realistic ..
Harley he was 4th last year. How are we not supposed to have expectations?Pleeeeaase. Yeah, well when you make the NCAA podium as a freshman in wrestling, then you can criticize. I know you would make "I'm the biggest tool" finals if they had them. In fact, you would probably be an undefeated National ChampionPleeeeaase. I never said he had a serious injury. I was questioning at the time of injury, a few here close to the program were a bit concerned to the extent when it happened. Immediately after that, his performance changed dramatically. Coincidence? I think not. You think a sub .500 wrestler from Columbia "figured him out"? Just a very short while ago, people laughingly questioned Turley's performance and said he was burned out. Whoops...turns out he needed shoulder surgery. So you can Pleeeeeese stop thinking you know everything. People can have opinions and raise questions here.Pleeeeaase. Mental possible but it’s not physical ...like crackers said ..it happens plenty at this levelI don’t think he’s been figured out, his effort flat out sucks in matches compared to last year and even early this year. Something beyond getting outwrestled is going on
He doing good. Just got married. Coaching WE. His 138 pounder the 20th seed had a great tourn. Upset #4 seed and made it to semis. Finished 6th which was a great season. The kids love him on the team…the parents love him. Because he tough on them…because of that he has all their respect. How's your boy doing? I will burn in hell before I support Harley, but there are some valid arguments. With regards to Turley, he wrestled very few matches and the coaches saw the injury was enabling him and his normal unorthodox style. They took care of that quick. With Poz, don't you think they would sit him or end his season, and not re-aggravate a serious injury? Especially considering he will be in the National Champion conversation in a year or 2?I never said he had a serious injury. Didn't you try to talk him out of getting married...lol? Don't these youngins learn...lol? Yeah, I can't stress it enough that a wrestler can be an AA one day and 5-5 wrestler if he is off mentally. At this point, they just need to finish the season with him, get the team points and hope and pray for the best.He doing good. Just got married. Coaching WE. Poz had a great year and still can turn things around. These posters saying not injured don’t understand. I had a conversation with AP private coach about Poz. He said as you know this sport at this level is 99% mental. He said if your a little off that can be a game changer at this level. Remember the mind can play games on you and that’s worst then a injury. So all these posters who bash you thinking you said Poz is injured don’t get what you mean. All he gotta do is wrestle to his seed. You never know what happens at the big show.
I’m not criticizing the kid at all ..most of you are ..I’m sayin he is mentally burnt ..just stop using some mysterious injury as the excuse ..if he was hurt he would not be out thereYeah, well when you make the NCAA podium as a freshman in wrestling, then you can criticize.
