These thoughts and comments are just silly. He will, of course get a raise. Some mention Texas. They will stay in house or hire Sampson or Nate Oats. No one mentioned that Sarah is the associate AD there but that is irrelevant.Bobby Hurley,Rick Pitino and Richard Pitino will all be elsewhere. Steve will Dance at Rutgers in double digits.

Once he pulls this next class in and RU gives him a raise he will be locked in. He is not the kind of guy who is going to commit to his best recruiting class and then bolt.
Let’s focus on the game this talk is nonsense

I’d argue he has a better situation here than Texas anyways. They ran Shaka Smart outta town immediately. He has a bad year or two here, he would get a long leash.

His name is going to come up in a lot of searches. We're like the slob who asked the ugly duckling to the prom just before she got her braces off, got contacts, removed her corrective back brace and became a beautiful swan. Now she's getting a lot more attention and it will be tough to hold on.

How long did his mentor stay UConn. He will follow in his mentors path and stay here until Rutgers Billy’s a statue for him.

Pike is a Northeast guy through and through. Maybe a school in our region could pry him away but do any other NE schools offer a better opportunity than RU and the B1G?

"There have been rumors swirling in recent days that Steve Pikell, head basketball coach at Rutgers University, may be leaving the program to take on the same role at the University of Texas.

While no official announcement has been made, sources close to the situation have indicated that Pikell is seriously considering the move to Texas. If he were to leave Rutgers, it would come as a surprise to many, as Pikell had just completed his third season at the university and had led the team to a 21-10 record and a berth in the NCAA Tournament.

Despite the success he has had at Rutgers, it is believed that Pikell is intrigued by the opportunity to coach at a "historic and storied program" like Texas. If he were to make the move, it would leave Rutgers with a significant hole to fill on its coaching staff.

At this time, it is still unclear whether or not Pikell will actually leave Rutgers for Texas. However, the rumors have caused speculation and uncertainty among Rutgers fans and those in the college basketball world. It will be interesting to see how the situation plays out in the coming days and weeks.

For now, Rutgers fans will have to wait and see if their head coach will remain with the program or move on to a new opportunity at the University of Texas"

Awful job today by coaching staff every time pick and roll and we get beat or we are caught too late rotating and they make a wide open 3

Read it more closely…we’re good.
