I deleted it. Apologies.I see that but he talks about people playing games. Please don't change what I said @RutgersSam
It’s sad that so call fans need to post this crap everyday.
For the past 8 years that I've been posting on this board, that has to rank as one of the stupidest, most moronic posts ever.I'd rather get cancer than see the team continue to lose.
100%. That term should never come into any kind of sports analogy. Always hated the ahole commentators who would call out an athlete as “cancer” in the locker room. Anyone who has ever dealt with that disease at any level would never use the term so flippantly. Disgusting.I completely agree with you on this. That's just a sick, twisted take.
Oh my, absent facts we turn to personal insults. So, so, sad.Already anticipated your response. See my post about Iowa and Minnesota. Just shows you don’t know football.
I don't know either one of you but if he's right it's not an insult. Just a statement of fact. So you guys can duke it out to which one it is. :)Oh my, absent facts we turn to personal insults. So, so, sad.
Like who? I would wager pretty confidently that there are more GS haters here then Schiano cultist (Not sure what that even means). Lump this in with the guy who would rather have cancer than lose and the other one who compared football fans to people involved in one of the biggest mass suicides in history and I think that it's not the GS fans that have a warped sense of reality here.Nope, I am a Rutgers fan. Sounds like you should try being less of a blind Schiano fan and maybe more a Rutgers University fan. No one man is bigger than Rutgers football, a concept that is unfortunately foreign to many on this board.
I'd rather get cancer than see the team continue to lose. Some of you are pure stupid. I'd say retarded because it's warranted, but that's frowned upon now.
Keep knocking 'em out of the park, @Plum Street
I didn’t chide anyone . I said this fanbase is demoralized and/or doesn’t care . I didn’t bring real life into it because it’s not real life. If we beat MSU I am sure many fans will be thrilled from a sports perspective. But obviously most well rounded people are more thrilled about having a nice thanksgiving with their family than a rutgers football win . So stop comparing this to real life . It’s not.
ShelbyDoubt anyone’s demoralized. Those who thought Schiano was a good hire are still in ignorant but blissful heaven during his 10 year rebuild while Kansas and UConn rebuild in 2 years.
Those who saw this coming aren’t demoralized now either. They’re just waiting until 2028 for a good HC hire.
Uconns schedule has enough patsies to make a bowl possible, but got beaten like a drum against betterI wouldn't say likely but they got a shot. Liberty is a likely loss. Army is the one that maybe they can win. Nonetheless, from 10-50 to 5-7 or 6-6 in year 1 is a solid step in the right direction.
If anything I always takes these underdog stories as it can be done here too. I see us in them and all these stories and I root for them.
I gave you facts. You fault GS for not beating Iowa and Minnesota. Iowa won the B1G West last year and Minnesota won 9 games last year. Even I don’t have that high of an opinion of GS to say those are gimmes.Oh my, absent facts we turn to personal insults. So, so, sad.
But look how awful UConn was before the rebuild. Sound familiar?Shelby
Pretty sad example of a rebuild by using UConn
NC state 41-10
Michigan-59-0
Syracuse 48-14
Utah state 31-20
You can have their rebuild
Since UConn is not in a football conference anymore, I would never use the term “rebuild” for their programI wouldn't say likely but they got a shot. Liberty is a likely loss. Army is the one that maybe they can win. Nonetheless, from 10-50 to 5-7 or 6-6 in year 1 is a solid step in But look how awful UConn was before the rebuild. Sound familiar?
It was obviously a satirical post. Plum posts about the fans attitude and people respond with comparisons to real life situations. It's an absurd straw man argument that no one brought up.For the past 8 years that I've been posting on this board, that has to rank as one of the stupidest, most moronic posts ever.
CoolTBH.....I'm becoming demoralized and caring less for this board because d-bags like this poster.
Ha good point !!Speak for yourself.
Just found out my in-laws are coming up for Thanksgiving.
I'd be more thrilled to attend RU-PSU with 44,306 PSU fans.
This “real-life” argument is hilarious. Talk about self-defeating rationalizations. It was obviously a satirical post. Plum posts about the fans attitude and people respond with comparisons to real life situations. It's an absurd straw man argument that no one brought up.
But Mora only won 1 game if you only count P5. Sound familiar? But look how awful UConn was before the rebuild. Sound familiar?
but fandom is not real life . The emotions we feel with a devastating football loss are different than emotions we feel with a devastating loss in a facet of real life . Same on the flip side with the emotions we experience after a win. This “real-life” argument is hilarious. Talk about self-defeating rationalizations.
It’s not strawman unless you somehow have a way of escaping real life when watching or discussing football. We all exist “in real life” all the time no matter what activity were engaged in. So comparisons of one aspect of that real life, RUFB fan-hood, to another aspect of that real life, whatever it might be, are perfectly valid.
What’s invalid is failing to recognize that and treating the time we spend, or emotions we feel, on sports as some sort of alternative universe in which our behavior doesn’t count.
“I’m innocent, your honor! I killed all those people while at a football game. Not in real life!”. 🤣
Uconns schedule has enough patsies to make a bowl possible, but got beaten like a drum against better
They did win a game or two noteworthy but they are not a solid div 1 team nor will ever be

Let me comment that satire is hard to convey in a post. You practically have to say at the end, "BTW, that was satire."It was obviously a satirical post. Plum posts about the fans attitude and people respond with comparisons to real life situations. It's an absurd straw man argument that no one brought up.
Bingo. And that’s why coaches at this level get paid millions to make sure you have talent and depthThis is so indicative of their schedule. When you have a fair amount of powerderpuff games, your team doesn't get beat down exposing your lack of talent and/or depth. Put them against a meat grinder of a schedule like the Big 10 or the SEC, hell, probably any power 5 conference, and see how they're fairing 8-10 games into the season. That reminds me of RU in the late 70's/early 80's when we beat Tennessee and almost beat Alabama: we had 6-8 1AA teams or low level 1A teams on the schedule, so we could absorb playing 1-3 top teams. But once the schedule changed where we were playing mostly 1A teams in the east, well, Grunninger's Folly reared its ugly head.
Then why are you even talking about demoralization? Is this some fantasy version of demoralization that isn't real life demoralization?but fandom is not real life . The emotions we feel with a devastating football loss are different than emotions we feel with a devastating loss in a facet of real life . Same on the flip side with the emotions we experience after a win.
After a big win, my wife yells at me to take out the garbage . After a devastating loss , my wife yells at me to take out the garbage
Demoralized from a sports perspectiveThen why are you even talking about demoralization? Is this some fantasy version of demoralization that isn't real life demoralization?
Are we talking, like, inconsequential demoralization? A version of not-real-life demoralization where I'm demoralized over being forced to sleep with a busload of my favorite sexy movie actresses all the time?
Look, Dante gave us a clear definition of the many levels of Hell. So I'm expecting Plum Street's clear definition the many levels of demoralization. I want to see at least a 10,000 words on the subject. And they better be your words, no plagiarizing.
Bingo. And that’s why coaches at this level get paid millions to make sure you have talent and depth
For ash it wasYou mean it isn't for their sparkling personality?
Then he got us smashed!!
5 words down, 9,995 to go. Define "demoralized from a sports perspective" and explain how that differs from demoralized in general.Demoralized from a sports perspective
Good point. One of the most misused phrases "Could Care Less".Well, how much less could we care?
I am sorry that you just don't understand that in college football each year's team is a separate entity and sometimes is only loosely connected to the prior year's team. The fact that Iowa and Minnesota were good last year has nothing to do with how they are performing this year and the fact that they are mediocre at best this year. The records don't lie, Schiano is 0-3 against B1G teams that are 14-13 this year. That is simply unacceptable in the 3rd year of a rebuild. You can try and spin it any way you would like, but you are what your record says you are, that is the great thing about competitive sports.I gave you facts. You fault GS for not beating Iowa and Minnesota. Iowa won the B1G West last year and Minnesota won 9 games last year. Even I don’t have that high of an opinion of GS to say those are gimmes.
It is still year 3. But schiano whiffed on the OC, OL and QB these first 3 years. Those are program killers. It does take time to build a program and it’s only year 3. IF we are having the same posts in 3 years from now he should be fired.I am sorry that you just don't understand that in college football each year's team is a separate entity and sometimes is only loosely connected to the prior year's team.
