The economy already has tanked. Every teacher I know wants to be in the classroom. But it's not safe. B10 just canceled fall sports, costing schools millions of dollars. College students are mostly going online learning. Pro football players are opting out of playing....and still getting paid!!!!!

Bad teachers for caring about our health.

Yes those 14 aren't but 5 new ones at least occurred yesterday. Murphy only reports deaths after they have been processed from DOH. It always takes at least a couple days to process them. The dashboard shows how many happened in hospitals the prior day though. Yesterday was 5, one day last week was 20, the other days it ranged from 0-9 So your assertion just isn't correct.

also keep in mind..those deaths on the dashboard aren’t confirmed covid deaths, I don’t believe. Just confirmed covid positive individuals who’ve died.
 
Masks will be worn for years. It will take months to vaccine people who want it. And the ones that get it will still wear masks in case it doesn't work. In other words...this world is fuced.

which I posted many. Look for mid April to early May. That is a story covered by every US media including all the Sunday morning shows on the 4 major channels. Look it up or prove me wrong. The biggest critical complainer on this board is you. Because you are lazy. The former Covid thread is still active to view. You just have an agenda and too lazy to prove anyone wrong.
There was another lazy ass asking for a link to the PAC 12 last night about them cancelling the season today. It was a lead on ESPN and on the bottom crawl. Obviously you have internet as you can post on here. Do your own homework

The virus is just very contagious and very deadly to those in the LTC age cohort. Unless you go complete bubble mode with the LTC's, and that would include the workers(thus those people would have to isolate from the rest of the world until the pandemic is over) the LTC's are going to be vulnerable.

“Far more effective than wearable forms of personal protective equipment, we think of AeroNabs as a molecular form of PPE that could serve as an important stopgap until vaccines provide a more permanent solution to COVID-19,” said AeroNabs co-inventor Peter Walter, professor of biochemistry and biophysics at UCSF, in a news release.

Nanobodies in the spray are smaller than human antibodies, making them easier to manipulate in a laboratory setting, said co-inventor Aashish Manglik, MD, PhD, an assistant professor of pharmaceutical chemistry. Nanobodies, for this reason, are therefore less expensive and easier to mass produce. The researchers are currently working to get the spray manufactured and clinically tested.

Maybe, but it hasn’t even hit clinical tests yet. We won’t know until sometime next year. I believe there are similar trials going on right now though so hopefully one of the antiviral pills/nasal sprays pop soon.

Lol... Hello ... no , I am well with a negative test result ... took 5 days to get it which really needs to improve since the first 24-48 hours are important as most understand... I had my yearly wellness physical yesterday which showed for an over 70 man I’m in relatively good shape... the doctor ( longtime) said this : if we wash our hands, wear a mask , and practice social distancing we would drive it down and allow time for vaccines...he also told me the “ quick “ test result would be coming sometime next month in mass ...that will be key... For the past 10 days or more I decided to not sign on but only read the board... fun to WATCH the comments , advice, sarcasm and attacks... It actually allows one to see some just have to ALWAYS be the guiding light ...both factions... Now , I will return to being a view master of a board which suffers from what the original intent was pre pandemic...Rutger’s sports...please stay well...Oh, and our New Zealand contact needs to stay well... Hope you are well professor?... Thank you to the poster for your concern...stay well .

Oh and the key component are the T cells ... and how the young have phenomenal levels and as we age they drop drastically...the vaccines all will involve the ability to stimulate their growth and enhance our immune system to give us a chance... and yes a booster shot will more than likely be a part of it.

Interesting but I'm not totally buying into that. He does mention people sharing the same bed, but for the most part, if an individual starts to present with symptoms, there is enough education now to self isolate and help prevent the spread to the next individual(s). This can be the reason for the lower transmission rates they are referring to. I have come across plenty of husband and wife teams who have both tested positive.

This is something that has been hypothesized earlier on in the pandemic. For those isolating and limiting general exposure, they might be more at risk in the future for stronger reactions when exposed to the common cold and various flu strains. I would think for many, they would rather risk higher cold/flu complications versus contracting CV-19.
