Jordan's Wins 2013-present

I agree with you madhat1. Let's see what Hobb thinks. I do give credit to EJ for bringing in Sanders, Laurant, and Foreman. I guess if Hobbs thinks Johnson is the real deal EJ will get that extra time.

people wanted Flood out too in 2013 but Barchi wouldn't let Julie do it. Instead we got a mess two years later that cost us reputation and money. Lets get it right this time

if Johnson is the real deal, then it does not matter if Eddie is here or not, the next guy will be there to coach him. Johnson isn't going anywhere

That's a stretch. Flood was fired for different reason. Not to mention our reputation is already gone thanks to Rice.

It does matter because we have to buyout his contract.

and we will buy it out just like we should have done with Fred Hill, Mike Riceand Fudd in 2013
and we'll buyout the new coach too when he fails. Because Hill was the guy after Waters and Rice was the guy after Hill. They were all suppose to be the savior of the program.

Freddie and Rice were bought out after trying to fire them for cause.
RU tried to fire them without having to buy them out.
Rice settled for less than he was owed and Pernetti had to negotiate a buyout with Hill.
Might as well add Waters into the mix. Mulcahy tried to push him out for cause but couldn't.
So settled with paying him to leave so Freddie could take over.
Kyle and Julie were bought out mainly for PR reasons , because of players off the field activities, and not just the product Flood was putting out.
Jordan, unless suspensions are used, just has the product he's putting out and RU might use the roadblocks he faced in order not to buy him out and say he deserves another year to start pointing the program in the right direction.

Not saying Jordan will be staying or deserves to, but saying his situation is a little different ,when it comes to buying him out , compared to those you mentioned RU bought out and who I added.

This argument confuses me. Don't buy out Jordan why? His team's have been awful...but other coaches were awful so don't try to fix it this time.

Adding in the kenpom scores for each of those years. Interestingly, we've only beaten four teams with a kenpom better than 122, and just two with a kenpom better than 80.

125 Houston
144 Yale
159 Temple
164 UCF
186 USF (3X inlcuding AAC Tournament)

318 UNC Greensboro
Div-II Stillman College

2014-15
3 Wisconsin
36 Vanderbilt
80 Clemson
82 Penn State
150 St. Francis-Brooklyn

183 New Hampshire
231 Sacred Heart
320 Fairleigh Dickinson

no clue how to coach the college game. he still thinks he has Sellers and Dabney running up and down the floor out there.

I would tend to agree that buying out Jordan would be a waste of money better used to fix the program.
But raising the money to pretty up the facilities and such will not be done quickly even with the State's help.
So getting someone that can start RU on the road to respectability at a reasonable rate , but not on the cheap like RU always does, might be the answer.
If Hobbs can find enough boosters to help with the buyout and hire a proven program builder
it might be the wise thing to do, if Hobbs isn't confident that Jordan is the one that can or deserves one more year because of the roadblocks he's had to navigate.
But Hobbs shouldn't keep Eddie just because of money, this program deserves to be treated right for once.
This loss should be the nail on the coffin.
