No he doesn't!!!:Wink:Louie Louie ! Can't believe it. Rodney needs to retire as a pitcher.
And Texas doing everything they can to keep the Brewers ahead. As of right now, Mets are tied for the 2nd wildcard with the Brewers (up 3-2 in the 8th).
On a 3-2 count it's not really a double steal. More like a hit and run. Onus is on the hitter to make contact if it's a strike.WTF with the Rangers, playing the Brewers. Down 3-2 in the 8th, first and second, one out, they call a double steal on 3 balls, 2 strikes, batter whiffs and thrown out at second.
My bad there, correct. Watching the play-by-play. Top 9th, Texas batting. Brewers up 3-2.On a 3-2 count it's not really a double steal. More like a hit and run. Onus is on the hitter to make contact if it's a strike.
Sending the runners on 3-2 is not unusual.
Re your last point, Conforto and Syndergaard are still under team control for another two years. Will be interesting to see how aggressive the Mets will be.Noah settling down was the key to this game. Something of note...he seems to have finally figured out pitching and not just blowing guys away. Our guys keep pitching like this and we will scare any team out there in the playoffs.
Lugo may have given up the HR but he really has become a machine. Said a lot that they kept him in for a final inning and didnt go to Diaz
Been saying all year that Davis needs to be an every day player. Davis, Rosario, McNeil, Conforto, Alonso make a real nice core to this team. Gotta lock Conforto up this year along with Thor. Wish we could sign Wheeler but doubt we will.

Unspeakable move? Well, I'll say it. The Keon Broxton acquisition was an unmitigated disaster, but we've got to move on.Welp due props to Guillorme - never saw that coming. JD Davis now clears the BVW off-season slate in my eyes for all but the unspeakable move.
What? They were leading 6-2 late. Been getting some trash talk on FB from a former co-worker down here.Braves lost, they’re 7 back from the division.
A-yup. Marlins got four in the ninth to tie it, and walked it off in the tenth. What? They were leading 6-2 late. Been getting some trash talk on FB from a former co-worker down here.

Unless he collapses down the stretch, Hyun-Jin Ryu would be the unanimous choice. He is having the year that deGrom had last year, except that Ryu has the W's to show for it. Also, Mad Max is having a Mad Max year as he always does. Mets are fortunate to miss him this weekend.Tomorrow seems like the type of game that deGrom steps it up for...may be a little late for a push by him and the 2nd year of no support, but does he had a late season push that could put him back into the CY award again?
Just back from the game. What an atmosphere. Playoff feel atmosphere. Sellout crowd going nuts. Ya gotta believe! Once Noah settled down and even though down 2-0 and 3-2 late in the game, I still felt we’d rally. Winning and confidence is contagious!
He is the top runner but I havent followed that close but saw that he and Max had been on the IL so not sure of the extent of their injury. See that Ryu is pitching today though. You mentioned the wins to show for it but it seems almost the opposite, he just doesn't have the losses the Met's always grace deGrom with. With Ryu, he should still have more than 11 wins(not his fault) - As for Sherzer, if he has a couple of bad starts and deGroms stays on a roll/Met's pass by Nats at same time, he could move into that 2nd spot. Regardless, so f-ing happy we locked this guy upUnless he collapses down the stretch, Hyun-Jin Ryu would be the unanimous choice. If deGrom steps it up, he'll get some votes, but probably not first place votes.

The 3 Amigos have stated the exact same thing.I hope Tom Kurkjian of ESPiN choke on his words. During this run he said this wild ride would come to an end for the Mets when they meet a real team like the Nats.
