Cohen's on vacation for the week. So is Howie Rose. They both took the same week off.Damn I was hoping for JD to put the final nail in the coffin for tonight. Btw does anyone know where Gary Cohen is? This other Gary...........Apple is boring as hell.
Are they vacationing together?Cohen's on vacation for the week. So is Howie Rose. They both took the same week off.
That I don't know. And if I did, I wouldn't tell.Are they vacationing together?
I wasn't suggesting a rendezvous . Thought that maybe they were friends.That I don't know. And if I did, I wouldn't tell.
Correct me if I’m wrong but team numbers don’t change because of a trade or dumping/aquiring someone...they reflect the “team” numbers.Dude. Those numbers are skewed by the fact that they just brought in 3 guys who brought lower era numbers from the teams they were acquired from. The guys that they had been using before the trade were every bit as bad as the Mets relievers. Thus the reason for the trades.
Would you rather hear Keith talk about gardening?I guess there is someone out there who cares about the fond reminisces of this batboy. Not sure why though.
Could it be Juan is getting regular playing time?Juan with three hits.
That certainly helps. I'm happy for him. He was in purgatory not too long ago.Could it be Juan is getting regular playing time?Juan with three hits.
I'm not sure. But if you are we can go with that.Correct me if I’m wrong but team numbers don’t change because of a trade or dumping/aquiring someone...they reflect the “team” numbers.Dude. If we had traded Diaz and Familia at the deadline and picked up 2 guys with mid 3 era’s, it doesn’t lower our team era until they pitch in a game and then only the innings they pitch for us.
But maybe I’m missing something..,
He's been on fire in this series. How about Rosario?Alonso with a NIGHT!!
If only Tejada was given that shot. :Sly:Could it be Juan is getting regular playing time?
Gag-onIf only Tejada was given that shot. :Sly:
Why is Gagnon back? Mickey Moron is paid to screw over the Mets by forcing him to pitch in an important game. No lead is safe.:chairshot:
You could be right. The Syracuse pitching staff is full of AAAA types who get it done there but not here. Plenty of candidates to replace him. We know that well as we have seen most of them already.I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that Gagnon will be getting on a different plane than the rest of the team. I heard Syracuse is beautiful this time of year.
For that matter, I can't recall a game in which a team hit six homers and lost. I'm sure it's happened; just don't recall it.Cant recall a game with 2 guys with 5 hits another with 4 hits and another with 3
For a while, I had wished we saved a few of those hits but ends up we needed them. Our pen just sux.
Rosario is becoming a major player.
Most likely against the Yankees this year...For that matter, I can't recall a game in which a team hit six homers and lost. I'm sure it's happened; just don't recall it.

OK I looked it up. The record for most home runs in one game in a losing effort is seven. It has happened three times, most recently in 2016 by Chicago White Sox against Toronto. Five of those gopher balls were thrown by none other than our old friend R.A. Dickey! For that matter, I can't recall a game in which a team hit six homers and lost.
