Cohen's on vacation for the week. So is Howie Rose. They both took the same week off.

Dude. Those numbers are skewed by the fact that they just brought in 3 guys who brought lower era numbers from the teams they were acquired from. The guys that they had been using before the trade were every bit as bad as the Mets relievers. Thus the reason for the trades.
Correct me if I’m wrong but team numbers don’t change because of a trade or dumping/aquiring someone...they reflect the “team” numbers.
If we had traded Diaz and Familia at the deadline and picked up 2 guys with mid 3 era’s, it doesn’t lower our team era until they pitch in a game and then only the innings they pitch for us.
But maybe I’m missing something..,

I guess there is someone out there who cares about the fond reminisces of this batboy. Not sure why though.

I'm not sure. But if you are we can go with that.

Last year before getting injured running into wall down 9-0 in 9th.....

Juan 30 games. .339 batting average. I’ll take a 10/15 game hot streak waiting for McNeill to get back

Yes I have previously posted calling him juan80
As in hitting .180

Why is Gagnon back? Mickey Moron is paid to screw over the Mets by forcing him to pitch in an important game. No lead is safe.:chairshot:

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that Gagnon will be getting on a different plane than the rest of the team. I heard Syracuse is beautiful this time of year.
You could be right. The Syracuse pitching staff is full of AAAA types who get it done there but not here. Plenty of candidates to replace him. We know that well as we have seen most of them already.

Cant recall a game with 2 guys with 5 hits another with 4 hits and another with 3

For a while, I had wished we saved a few of those hits but ends up we needed them. Our pen just sux.
Rosario is becoming a major player.

For that matter, I can't recall a game in which a team hit six homers and lost. I'm sure it's happened; just don't recall it.

OK I looked it up. The record for most home runs in one game in a losing effort is seven. It has happened three times, most recently in 2016 by Chicago White Sox against Toronto. Five of those gopher balls were thrown by none other than our old friend R.A. Dickey!

The overall record for most HR's in a game is 10, by Toronto in 1987.

The Met record is eight, against the Phillies on August 24, 2015. They occasionally replay that game on SNY Mets Classics. That game marked David Wright's return from a lengthy injury. He hit one of the eight.
