Teheran always does well vs the Mets. They got to hit him hard and early. Probably have to score 20 runs with Vargas on the moundYou never know what Julio Teheran is going to give the Braves, either. Very unpredictable matchup tomorrow night.

As well as our 6th and 7th inning guys. Hopefully not our 4th and 5th inning try to fend off any further damage guy. :flushed:Yesterday's game was exactly how our games should go. SP goes a good 6 innings- 2 RP's come in and basically shut it down. We switched up the lineup a bit and the new leadoff hitter gets 2 hits and the slumping leadoff is moved down and has a big day. Give our young superstar 1B a rest and the other young top prospect comes in and has a good game. And we saved our 8 and 9 inning guys who we will most likely need today.
Would just like to see Vargas and others to hold them to 5 runs today. If he can give us 5 innings and give up 4 or less, I’ll take my chances. As well as our 6th and 7th inning guys. Hopefully not our 4th and 5th inning try to fend off any further damage guy. :flushed:
I knew he wouldn’t get out of the first inning. I’m here for this shi’t but knew it before hand I came for the free food and booze in delta 360 club wish I came tomorrow Degrom will dominate. Why Vargas? Why give away games especially divisional ones? You can dig up a dead body with better stuff than Vargas
I remember you post, and your post is the 1 in a million that broke the curse of the Knight Report!!! Congrats.I knew he wouldn’t get out of the first inning. I seriously think at age 57 I can pitch better then Vargas my slider and curve are better and his fastball looked like mid 80’s hopefully they cut him immediately.I remember you post, and your post is the 1 in a million that broke the curse of the Knight Report!!! Leave Vargas in Atlanta.
Well my words were a bit too prophetic. Needed the 1st inning guy. Too bad he wasnt able to hold the fort even after the offense scraped their way all the way out of the hole that Vargas had dug them into.As well as our 6th and 7th inning guys. BVW doesn't sign the checks. We will see if BVW really wants to win and win now as he said or if he was just talking out his ass.
Teams that have adequate fifth starters don't give them up in April.Who can the Mets deal to get an adequate 5th starter? Would a package of Dom Smith; Corey Oswalt and maybe some veteran from Syracuse (like Carlos Gomez) get anything decent? Put Vargas on the IL or make him the mop up guy in the bullpen. He's painful to watch. Still don;t understand why Brodie didn;t sign Gio Gonzlaez to a minor league deal.
Sign Keuchel or put Lugo or Gsellman in his spot...
NOW!!!!!
We're talking Mets here. "Common Sense" isn't all that common when it comes to the Mets.Really is no debate here. No question, I mean none, on what was going to happen tonight.
Kind of like being a Rutgers football fan and watching personnel decisions. We're talking Mets hear. "Common Sense" isn't all that common when it comes to the Mets.
Teams that have more than 5 starters may. Also teams don’t dump in April or May so it’s either sign Keuchel or hope lugo can answer the bell or make a deal. I ll bet next option is lugo but this will weaken the bullpen and the bridge to Diaz.Teams that have adequate fifth starters don't give them up in April.
I didn't watch the game yesterday but looking at the boxscore...it looks to me that he did sit Nimmo? Please tell me that isn't so.Would just like to see Vargas and others to hold them to 5 runs today. If he can give us 5 innings and give up 4 or less, I’ll take my chances.
I think he is resting Ramos today(which is ok) but I hope he doesn’t take McNeil out of the lineup. I fully expect Nimmo to be rested today though as he got 3 hits yesterday to pull out of a season long slump. Would hate to keep him hot.
Nimmo was tired from running around the bases the night before. He needed a break.I didn't watch the game yesterday but looking at the boxscore...it looks to me that he did sit Nimmo? Please tell me that isn't so.
They may not be top quality #5s but the Mets have two better then Vargas right under their noses but yet they remain in their bullpen.Teams that have adequate fifth starters don't give them up in April.
