Damm shame when the experts still say that San Diego are more ALL IN than Los Mets.
Wasnt he 3-4, hitting 8th Friday and 1-2 hitting 4th yesterday? Keep him down in the lineup for now.I like Brandon Nimmo, but the strikeouts are too much especially for a leadoff guy. He needs to sit more than a game to clear his head and work on a few things.
He's striking out at an alarming rate. 46 AB with 23 Ks.Wasnt he 3-4, hitting 8th Friday and 1-2 hitting 4th yesterday? Keep him down in the lineup for now.
He's training to be the next Giancarlo Stanton or Aaron Judge? [roll] (just kidding, Yankees fans). He's striking out at an alarming rate. 46 AB with 23 Ks.
It's not that bad. Just a bad night for deGrom and the bats went to sleep.Season is over. They rather keep Vargas than sign a pitcher or two who can help them now. Why bother?
That is an overreaction worthy of a Rutgers message board. Vargas is getting one more start. That's all we know at this point. Let it play out.Season is over. They rather keep Vargas than sign a pitcher or two who can help them now. Why bother?
Right now, can’t get all that mad at BVW. Broxton and JD Davis are doing well, he kept both Alonzo and Smith up in the majors, he “didn’t” trade McNeil or Nimmo. That is an overreaction worthy of a Rutgers message board. Would I like to see the Mets sign Keuchel? Sure, why the hell not? Ain't my money. But if it were, I'd think twice about giving him the $18M (minimum) that he's holding out for. He's good, but not that good.
We root for the Mets. To paraphrase Hyman Roth, this is the team we've chosen. We chose them knowing that they aren't big spenders. Budget limits have been reached, and that's pretty much that. Much like in the real world.
Wanna be mad about something? Be mad that BVW blew his allowance on Jed Lowrie.
You mean the JD Davis that some in this thread were calling to be shipped back to wherever he came from just a week or two ago. I think he has promise. Strong and hits the ball hard. Also young enough to still have upside. Something we definitely need from the right side.Right now, can’t get all that mad at BVW. Broxton and JD Davis are doing well, he kept both Alonzo and Smith up in the majors, he “didn’t” trade McNeil or Nimmo.
I cant see Kimbrel signing on for a 7th or 8th inning gig. He'll hold out for a team looking for an upgrade at closer of which there are sure to be some come May and June if not sooner.Davis bat may come around which would be great but he is a pretty awful fielder.
I think Kimbrel might be better than Keuchel. We could then stretch Lugo out and his put him in as the #5.
Maybe the opponent hitting is better.Besides Matz every single starting pitcher and bullpen piece from last year is worse so far.
Jeurys Familiar. It's like he never left.
Is Amando Benitez available?Jeurys Familiar. It's like he never left.
Hey maybe the hitters are just better. Is Amando Benitez available?Jeurys Familiar. It's like he never left.
My confidence level is such that I'm no longer watching tonight. Saw this scene too many times last year. Just a question of who will give it up. Hope I'm wrong. But just not in the mood to have my night end this way. I'll read about it in the morning. What are the chances the Mets win tonight's game?
THank you. This team is so not clutch. After they are eliminated from the playoffs, I am sure they will have a great September just like last year.

KR jinx and the Mets win.

Harper and Hoskins both had a bad night. Good for the Mets. The only person less clutch then the Mets is Harper.
Which is why the Mets took on the albatross that is Cano's salary. They weren't getting one without the other.I don't know about the rest of the bullpen, but we got ourselves a closer for the next 5 years. Diaz is awesome.
