Will work out well for Dodgers....d'Arnaud can hit........
Actually it did work out well for the Dodgers. After acquiring d'Arnaud at a cost of $0, and having him appear in one game, the Dodgers flipped him to the Rays tonight for cash considerations. So whatever amount of beer money the Dodgers got for him was pure profit.

Man, your super power is super duper today. Can you post shit about baseball, particularly the Mets before every game?

Mets need to play the fish at home for the rest of May.
WTF happened to the Fish? Why did they trade away all of their talent?
Jeter has a plan.

Thought there would have been more positive posts about last night. Do Mets fans only like to complain?
I know they won last night and hope they snap out of the funk. But I didnt realized they won the pennant last night. After giving false hope I would like to see them get through one weekend vs the Mealy Mouth Marlins before I start celebrating.

Something I've noticed is the Mets catchers (Ramos & Nido) stand a mile off the plate. Teams throw off-speed pitches on the outside half of the plate. Neither one of them recognize this and make the necessary adjustments.

Mets have won 2 against the Marlins. Will Callaway show killer instinct and go for 3? Or will he put a garbage lineup tomorrow and settle for 2 of 3?
Should be fired if Broxton and Frazier starts. IDK how much more Davis has to do to earn at least a couple of weeks as the starter without looking over his shoulder for the .146 strikeout king. McNeil, Nimmo, Conforto should be the OF... DONE. We'll worry about Cespedes if he shows up and if Lowrie is the Super Utility Man, have him move all over the place instead of McNeil and avoid the early mistakes they made in the past with Murphy, Turner, and to some extent Flores.

The PTBNL was named. A long way away but seems like the type of lottery ticket you don't want to give up. This front office doesn't seem to care about the minors it seems.

Well, we were warned it would be an interesting low-level guy, and Catalina fits the bill. He’s 18 and hasn’t pitched in a pro game yet, but earned a six-figure bonus, routinely hits mid-90s, and was going to skip the DSL and start his career stateside.

Baseball America: “His fastball plays up beyond the pure velocity, getting on hitters quickly with good extension out front in his delivery [he’s 6’6”]. Catalina complements his fastball with a power slider as well.”

Meh. He got a $150K bonus as an international signing. That bonus is equivalent to a ninth round draft choice in the domestic entry draft. According to a 2017 study, the chance of a ninth rounder ever playing in the major leagues is only 17.8%. And the chance of that player lasting at least three years in the majors is only 7.8%.

In exchange, we got a guy who has a 100% likelihood of playing in the majors.

Is it possible that ten years from now, we will rue this trade? Yeah, it's possible. But it's far more likely that we'll never hear of him again. I'll take my chances with the guy we got.

what trade was he in?

A little surprised they will be pitching Font against the Nats. With the two off days they had a chance to skip his start.

I did overreact a little but honestly I just think Font stinks and it was still too high a price to pay. I'm just not very high on BVW's tenure early as well so I'm being a bit harsh.

Jed Lowrie had a setback with his injury and will go back to Florida to rehab for a few more weeks.

For those who were hoping that Frazier would be DFA'd today to make room for Familia... Frazier's in the lineup tonight.

We sent down Hanhold for Familia.
Staying with the 11 man staff for awhile I guess. That will change soon I am sure. In today's game a six man bullpen is not sustainable, especially when you are looking at a stretch of 20 games in a row.

Broxton...lol. How is this guy in the majors? He can’t play the outfield and he can’t hit. Can’t wait until he and Frazier are gone.
