I would have chosen 2nd and 3rd with one out myself but maybe that's just me.I had no problem with it. Took two perfect throws and a bad slide to get him.DiSarcina off the hook. I think it was dumb to send Nido.
Took the words out of my mouth. Sending Nido was actually a very good and gutsy call. Dude beat the throw and would have been safe if only his foot bas downs as it had already crossed most of the plate when he was tagged but it was above the plate.I had no problem with it. Took two perfect throws and a bad slide to get him.
Actually, I remember them quite fondly in a very strange way.lolGod I hope not. I remember the days of Dave Kingman.
What are the chances Callaway is still a manager by the end of this road trip? My guess is 10%.
Cant we ever develop someone who has the complete tool set and not an all or nothing type?Pete needs some time off like a few games. He's striking out at a crazy rate.
Relax.Cant we ever develop someone who has the complete tool set and not an all or nothing type?
Much needed excellent win tonight. Matz with a great all around game and Conforto with the huge grand salami.Relax.
Players hit hot and cold stretches.
Not one post here about the Mets beating the red hot Dodgers.
Jarred Kelenic?Cant we ever develop someone who has the complete tool set and not an all or nothing type?
In the meantime, we will get the daily Kelenic updates and endless complaining.I won't feel like the Mets have turned the corner until they get to 5 over, and slowly climb past that. LGM
Lastings Millage, Gregg Jeffries. Seen it before. MHO will wait until he does this in the majors before I get too upset‘BREAKING: Sources telling me Jarred Kelenic has been promoted to High-A Modesto (@ModestoNuts).
Slashed .304/.394/.558 with the West Virginia Power. Doesn't turn 20 years old until July. #Mariners’

Ill start thinking this if the Mets go 3/4 over the Dodgers and 2/3 over the DBacks. Until then it would be the SOS.I won't feel like the Mets have turned the corner until they get to 5 over, and slowly climb past that. LGM
Rajai Davis has cleared waivers and accepted assignment to Syracuse. So maybe we'll see him again.
That's an easy one to answer. They DFA'd Rajai because they correctly surmised he'd clear waivers and they could bring him back. Whereas the 28 year old Altherr was far more likely to be claimed. Why they let him go and kept Altherr is another head scratcher.
Nice W
And the player he was traded for closed it out in the majors last night.‘BREAKING: Sources telling me Jarred Kelenic has been promoted to High-A Modesto (@ModestoNuts).

Lastings Milledge--that name brings back memories. From his Wiki page:Lastings Millage, Gregg Jeffries. Seen it before. MHO will wait until he does this in the majors before I get too upset
As long as he is not his base running coachInteresting statement by Conforto that Cano is now his hitting coach, which was tongue in cheek.

So, is there anything wrong effectively paying Conforto's personal hitting coach $14 million/year, after factoring in the $29 million the Mets saved with Jay Bruce going in the trade?
That was sarcasm.

Keep the faith, I think they've weathered the storm.Ill start thinking this if the Mets go 3/4 over the Dodgers and 2/3 over the DBacks. Until then it would be the SOS.
We'll see tonightKeep the faith, I think they've weathered the storm.
You relax. Need I recite the many posts of you trashing various players who were off to a slow start going through a rough patch or whatever?Relax.

Go ahead. You relax. Need I recite the many posts of you trashing various players who were off to a slow start going through a rough patch or whatever?
We'll see tonight
With a first name Walker, and Noah pitching, Mets should roll tonight. With Buehler and Ryu going the next 2 days, I'm not expecting much.
Nope. The truth is I don't need to. So again you relax. No one is beyond criticism in my eyes. That's where we're different I guess.Go ahead.
Whatever, dude. But you are freaking out over a rookie of the year candidate. Many of the top players are in the same category- Harper, Aaron Judge, Paul Goldschmidt. Fact is, Alonso is the best player on the roster.Nope. The truth is I don't need to. So again you relax. No one is beyond criticism in my eyes. That's where we're different I guess.
We probably don't. I strongly suspect he'll be DFA'd when Cano returns. If not, then likely when McNeil returns. However, when R. Davis was let go, Callaway did say that they wanted to take a longer look at Altherr. So they're taking it.And we want Altherr why?
