Couple this with Saturdays game and it's been the best weekend for me in a long time!!!!
Both teams were missing a lot with injuries, but incredibly impressive that the Jets defense could play this well with both corners out.It wasn't pretty but the Jets take down the Eagles.
Yea I disagreed with announcers position. If you run the clock down and play for 3 you give eagles chance to win on a field goal. Touchdown required eagles to score a td to win. The way the defense was playing salah made right decision.Did anyone catch Mark Sanchez ripping the Jets for scoring the winning touchdown?
He was wrong IMO. I'd rather give Hurts the ball with 1:45 left needing a TD, than with 50 seconds left needing a FG.
It was on 1st. Eagles let Jets score, and Jets accepted the gift. Was that TD run at the end on 2nd down or 3rd? I thought it was on 2nd but
I may be wrong
1st down. You run hard until yo see they are not trying and then down yourself at the 1. At very least, it makes them burn a TO..,It was on 1st. Eagles let Jets score, and Jets accepted the gift.
If somehow you know you can score a TD on 3rd, then you take two knees and force the final two timeouts. But you don't. So you take the TD when you can.
If it gets to 4th down, then you MUST kick the FG. Without question. Even from the one inch line.
40 seconds is time for two chunk plays and two spikes. Assuming the Eagles start at the 25, they only need about 35 yards. Elliott can hit from 60.1st down. You run hard until yo see they are not trying and then down yourself at the 1. At very least, it makes them burn a TO..,
You don’t play games at that point and try to run the next play in. If they stuff you, they will burn their last T/o even if you have to settle for a FG. They would only have 40 seconds or so to do so with no TO.
I used to watch Zack and wonder what the Jets saw in him.
I've recently seen him throwing some real laser-darts into very tight spaces
Kid has an arm I'll give him that
I disagree, because of the specifics in this case.1st down. You run hard until yo see they are not trying and then down yourself at the 1. At very least, it makes them burn a TO..,

Was it reported that it was Saleh's decision ? Or did it just happen without foresight and planning ?Yea I disagreed with announcers position. maybe. depends on time left and how many TOs the other team has.I don’t agree about downing the ball when you can score and go ahead at the end of the game. If the team is behind, by all means score the TD. Anything can happen, especially when everything is so tight down near the goal line. Fumbles do happen. You simply don’t know what will happen in the future and trying to anticipate it isn’t wise in my opinion.
I don't know if Saleh or anyone had advised team what to do. I would think they were aware of the value of a TD vs a FG, but given what we also saw earlier in the game who knows. Was it reported that it was Saleh's decision ? Or did it just happen without foresight and planning ?
We've seen Taylor and Wilson screw up goal-line offense these last two weeks so you've got to wonder if the coaches are lost in the moment.
Reason I ask, is because I’m convinced even professional coaches are not any more intelligent than the rest of us in these situations. Too often you see obvious mistakes. Sure they have more on their minds during a game than we do, but still…I don't know if Saleh or anyone had advised team what to do. I would think they were aware of the value of a TD vs a FG, but given what we also saw earlier in the game who knows.
That might be the final score.Jets up 7-3
Zach was brutal... but good enough to win the game!He has to be one of the worst quarterbacks I have ever seen. By the way, I have been watching football since 1960. A one legged Aaron Rogers would be an improvement.
FIFYWatched the end just in time to see the Jets win. Neither team deserved to win.
You haven’t watched a lot of NFL football. I’ve seen this crap for 50+ years. I’ve seen much worse QBs. There is this thing called an offensive line and they are suppose to block the defensive front. If they don’t, even very good QBs look like crap. Suggestion, next time you watch a game, don’t follow the ball for a few series, just watch the line play.Zak Wilson is the worst QB ever. The #2 overall pick shouldn't work so hard to be that bad.
Well, maybe 2nd worse ever. Can anyone tell me how Tommy DeVito is on an NFL roster? He was outplayed by Noah Vedral in the dome two years ago. We held him under 150 yards, 0 TDs, and 1 intercept (by Max Melton).Zak Wilson is the worst QB ever. The #2 overall pick shouldn't work so hard to be that bad.

Odd take given the last couple drives.Zak Wilson is the worst QB ever. The #2 overall pick shouldn't work so hard to be that bad.
He was pretty good in preseason.Well, maybe 2nd worse ever. Can anyone tell me how Tommy DeVito is on an NFL roster? He was outplayed by Noah Vedral in the dome two years ago. We held him under 150 yards, 0 TDs, and 1 intercept (by Max Melton).
