OT: College Football Playoffs First Round 12/20-12/21 Fri-Sat

SMU. Wow. I've never seen a no. 11 team look so inept.
Was traveling today and listening to the ESPN national broadcast on Sirius XM. Even when down 28-3, the announcers were spouting their ACC-homerisms--if SMU scores twice, they get the ball back to start the second half---they are still in this game. 😵‍💫 What's the narrative going to be today with two ACC teams losing. Have not been to X or other social media.

Michael gave Fredo a long embrace in Havana. How did that work out for Fredo?

Wow OSU just looks faster and more physical than a Goliath SEC team. 14-0
Tenn has a good defense but on the road and in the cold can have an effect on a team not used to it.

Also this is how OSU should always play. Pass to open up the run rather than other way round. They’ve always got those talented WRs. Day should just be himself rather than trying to be Michigan.

Yet they couldn't wait to pile on Indiana this morning because B1G games aren't in ESPiN's inventory.

I hope OSU throws 50 on Tennessee.

They only played two Top 20 teams and lost both. At #7 in the polls, we can now see the SEC bias.
They beat #11 Alabama that’s their win. They have a bad loss to Ark and a loss to UGA.

That’s the difference between them and Ole Miss and Alabama. If either of them had one less loss they’d have been in too.

But I think over time these expanded playoffs in different locations and NIL/portal will show the SEC has good teams but probably not super dominant ones. No Saban and harder to stockpile tons of talent across the roster.

Ballsy going for it right there. It worked, but why give them a chance at life, they're a dead fish already.

It’s around midfield, I’m okay with it and more forgiving of that than Franklin’s bonehead decision on his own 20 and only up 14 with his offense haven’t done anything to that point.

OSU is dominating on both sides of the ball so if he wants to really get a kill shot on this drive, I can understand. If they go up 28-0 on this drive, it’s hard to see any chance Tenn has.

Long way to go but this OSU team has more talent than anybody in the country. If I'm Oregon I'm livid I have to face this team again.
Agreed. OSU, other than their wtf game against UM (which is a big deal to OSU fans, but not really for the CFP), has played really well and has incredible talent and I think the game against Oregon will be another barnburner.

The StaffDNA Cure Bowl was a great 3 point game last night. No one cares. Extra playoff games, even if blowouts are better than watching a few weeks of low rate bowls. They’ll fix the seeding issues and we will get years of much better first round games

Wow OSU at home is getting the shaft from the officials. This whole drive is started by the officials(Clear PI on Int)) and continues because of them.(No sh*t he's going to fall back he jumped to make the pass)
