You know I don't "normally" like to go off news accounts, etc. I did find some info on North Sea Wind farms linked below, and one has been in operation since 2007, but the large majority have been in operation only 7 years.
As far as millions, I'm not sure who supports the newjerseymonitor.com website, but they say:
"The value of the credit would be $2.40 per year per ratepayer, by Ørsted’s estimate, but the company’s total potential savings is unclear." Various sources say NJ has 3.5 million electric ratepayers (at least residential)--that equates to about $8.4 million per year, which in the grand scheme of a large corporate balance sheet, is not much. One could argue that neither is $2.40/year. But why screw the residents and reward a rich foreign corporation?
I'm always open to "alternative facts" in a search for truth. And that's not a joke. Reading recent Supreme Court decisions, it seems that a lot of alternative facts were thrown around that were later debunked. But I digress. I wish politicians on all sides could me more honest and transparent with the facts.
