OT: NCAA College Football Games Thread 9/9-9/10 Fri-Sat

I really wanted Iowa to pull that one off so they come to us undefeated. Unfortunately, what always seems to happen is these kinds of teams “figure it out” once they play rutgers. Hopefully not the case this year. Obviously beat temple first.

Really need to scrap these divisions in the B1G. The West just keeps falling farther and farther behind. Right now, it's a complete mess over there.

USC up 7-0 early in Stanford

UF up 3-0 on Kentucky

Houston up 27-20 on TT in OT 4th and 20

TT converts the 4th and 20 my goodness lol

Texas A&M lost to Appalachian State. It's amazing how P5 programs have tilted everything in their favor and still manage to lose. And the coaches who lose get their 7 figures.

TT scores the TD after converting the 4th and 20…afternoon games with some fun finishes

27-27

It was a player payroll of over $40 mil. vs $5 bucks and a pack of chewing gum. And the pack of chewing gum team had better players today.

Money well spent Texas A&M boosters. Alabama will steam roll them again.

TT scores a TD vs Houston’s FG so they get the win over #20 Houston. 4th and 20 needed to get here lol.

Holgorsen with the headset toss

33-30 TT

What makes it so impressive is the A&M game was a 180 polar opposite of the UNC game. That was a track meet and this was TOP and outmuscling them.

Georgia Southern up 14-7 on Nebraska

Nice throw and catch by Levis and Key for the TD. UK up 7-3 on UF in the swamp

7-6 UK

Addison TD for USC 14-0

Georgia Southern is an option team (Army's coach Monken came from there)
They beat Florida one year
Option can be hard on teams that haven't seen it in awhile
Scout teams have problems running a polished option

UK high snap on punt leads to a safety 16-7…Napier could be off the opposite kind of start to his tenure compared to Freeman at ND. Utah and UK are physical teams and it’s a good sign for them if he’s got UF up to par there

Nebraska converts their T0 21-14 Nebraska

UK DL with great one handed stab INT deep in UF territory

Two TOs inside the 5 for Stanford

Unfortunately it looks like Jurkovec only looked solid because he was playing our untested D. He’s putting up horrible numbers in the 1st and has been picked off in the first drive.

I'm no fan of Florida but that roughing the passer call was silly. We're close to the point where saying something mean to the QB that hurts his feelings is a penalty

UK converts the TO into a TD on the qb sneak. They flub the XP 16-13 UF

GSU big run for a TD 21-21

USC defense with some timely TOs but looks like they might need some work if they’re going to compete on a high level

USC offense looks great though and good speed too. 7 plays 98yds 28-7 USC

I think cause they hit was low that’s why. I think App State one against A&M was bad…this one not as much of a problem

Cole Snyder looking much better vs FCS competition. Thrown 3TDs already. Unfortunately it seems the Buffalo Bulls D is horrific.

47yd TD run GSU 28-21 GSU

Stanford runs in for a TD 28-14 USC. USC D definitely lots of room for improvement.

Thompson rushing TD for Nebraska 28-28

BC getting embarrassed
I was hoping they would show better. But in 14 plays they have exactly 0 yds. Our win isn't looking so good now. Then again, Nebraska is currently losing to Georgia Southern 28-20 and Iowa is still wondering what state they left their offense in.

I'm watching this game and they are not running the option like they are known for. They're now shredding the Nebraska D through the air. Nebraska's D is simply not good. Their new coach Clay Helton is not a triple option guy.

Georgia Southern is a traditional nemesis to App State. Seems they always play the spoiler, beating App when App needs a critical win. The top teams in the Sun Belt are formidable.

Something goes Frost’s way for a change lol. Clock runoff kept them from giving up points before half

That ref needs to lose some weight it took him way to long to jog the ball back to the spot. Took him 5 secs to spot the ball. They should have been given the clocking on the case of ref obesity.
