Would be ironic if one of these guys becomes a significant contributor. Brodie's final gift.
This was all Alderson.I take it Uncle Stevie loved that Kelenic trade as much as I did.
That was... random?#FreeBobbyOjeda!!!!
No. He got canned on SNY for being too critical of nonsense moves by the Wilpons and management. Maybe I'm alone on this, but he was a great analyst who did not pull any punches. The studio post game has really been watered down, toeing the company line. That was... random?
Did they take BVW fishing?Steve Cohen and Sandy Alderson took care of all family business today.
This was all Alderson.
Sandy Alderson’s Mets knockout punch is telling power move: Sherman
Sandy Alderson was blindsided the last time he took a job with the Mets. He felt the owners had not made him fully aware of the financial devastation caused to the Wilpons by their association with…nypost.com
Sorry, but Bobby will remain in exile. Wilpons still own SNY!No. He got canned on SNY for being too critical of nonsense moves by the Wilpons and management. Bobby lived in the same town as me. I don't know him, but he was great, IMO.

He did right by many of his former clients. Should be easy to transition back to being an agent.I don't think BVW lands another front office job. I am guessing he goes back to being an agent. Wonder why he ever left.
True, but I suspect Alderson initiated the discussion. Cohen really wanted Alderson to be signed, sealed and delivered before the owners voted. He perceived (correctly IMO) that having Alderson on board would improve his chances of approval. Alderson had the leverage, and as we see he used it decisively and mercilessly.I’m sure Uncle Stevie discussed it with him once or twice.
Agree. Can’t keep any of the Wilpon stench. Alderson knows it and Cohen understands it. It’s nothing personal. Just Business.True, but I suspect Alderson initiated the discussion. As mentioned previously in this thread, Cohen and Minaya have a strong relationship. He's out because Alderson wanted him out.
Let's see how the Mets will be covered by SNY from now onSorry, but Bobby will remain in exile. Wilpons still own SNY!

Wilpon's own 5% of the Mets. would it be safe to assume that 5% of Citi Field are restrooms?
4th among NL rookies in WAR, and he's higher on baseball referenceAndres Gimenez gets a third place vote for NL ROY from Deesha Thosar of NY Daily News. Blatant homerism IMO, do not like.
Hypocrisy in MetsLand.I thought it concerned all the Mets faithful that have been crying about other teams spending top dollar to improve their team and now hypocritically calling for Mets ownership to try to buy a championship.
