How dare me?
The forecasts called for snow in the afternoon/evening. It's snowing in Rumson, dusting covering roof and roads already.
Forecast for it to be 53 tomorrow.
Fee free to post your observations, or continue in the dueling weather threads.

Been snowing for an hour or so in Brick. Surprised it started this early.

Old Bridge already has a coating that is sticking on the roads already.

The current snows are temporary - it's stopped pretty much everywhere by now. The main body of the precipitation is no further north than Vineland.

The MILF's from the Hillsborough Deli are still exhausted helping the firemen with their hoses. Hopefully they will be in full force this week when temps go up.

up to 23 now with scattered flurries...radar shows snow moving up from the Philly area and should be enveloping the Central Jersey area in the next 60-90 minutes

Heavier/heavy snow in Brick right now. Last 30 minutes or so.

Moderate Snow now in Belle Mead ....23. This is our accumulating snow...probably until at least 5-6PM so on target for 1-3

I think after this weekend people are just happy it's 20-30 degrees warmer and consider today a mild nuisance. It's been a hell of a 3 week period down here.

It's 35 here now with flurries. Roads with any amount of traffic have just a small bit of slush.

I would just like to point out that this thread title is 100% accurate, more accurate than today's weather predictions. Thank you very much.

I went out at 11;30 a.m at my home in Cherry Hill, and picked up the newspapers, which were covered with snow. I went back out at 2 p.m. to drive to Rutgers-Camden, and my footsteps from earlier had been obliterated by snow. So I would say we got a couple of inches at least, and at that point the snow was still coming down.

I am debating whether to cancel my 8p.m.-10 p.m. class. I have students who come from an hour away, and I am concerned that the rain may not come in time to make the roads safe, but rather tht there will be freezing rain on the ground. Does anyone have an opinion (and I do know it's just an opinion) about what is likely to happen in the north-western part of South Jersey (i.e. Camden and Burlington counties) this evening?

Precip should change to rain in Camden & Burlington counties by 5PM. The main roads are treated, there are no major trouble spots. Interior south Jersey is one of the slowest areas to warm, it seems, and may wind up with some of the highest snow totals since it's been falling there most of the day. My guess is that by 7PM the main roads should be okay, but some of the side streets could be a bit sloppy.

County road I live on in Rumson is covered in the middle and sides with about 1/2 to 1 inch of snow, but clear where cars have driven over the road. Snow is melting on our deck.

I guess all that really worries me is freezing rain or sleet. The snow is so light that anyone should be able to drive through it. It may be that, the later the students get out of class, the safer conditions will be, because the storm will be turning to all rain.

Freezing rain / sleet isn't going to be much of a factor. Pavement surfaces aren't cold enough.
