Nice comparing an extremely dense travel hub next to one of the most international cities in the world next to a country not traveled to by many, and is not dense at all. This is why we laugh at your posts.
LOL the comic gold irony of one Maddow fanboy invoking his fellow Maddow fanboys. First of all littlefkr, I mean "Greg" , you started the NJ to Sweden comparison--duh. But anyway , since you obviously didn't want to do any homework on Sweden, fyi its population density is substantially higher in the south vs. *north and about 85% of the 10.4million Swedes live in urban areas. For 2019, Sweden's average population density in statistical localities was 1,437 /sq km.

So "Greg", here is a perfect of example of why you are temp banned so often along with your perma bans-you are always wrong and forced to lash out with lame insults and weak trolling. Have a nice rest of the day though.

*Norrland, which covers approximately 60% of the Swedish territory, has a very low population density (below 5 people per square km). The mountains and most of the remote coastal areas are almost unpopulated. Low population density exists also in large parts of western Svealand, as well as southern and central Småland. An area known as Finnveden, which is located in the south-west of Småland, and mainly below the 57th parallel, can also be considered as almost empty of people.

Yesterday the US had 54K new cases and 976 new deaths.

The whole of Europe had 14.5K new cases and 330 deaths. Take Russia out of the mix and it's 9K and 200.

But I'm confused is this guy saying that Covid is something we need to worry about or not?

Deaths per million?

Since he hasn’t people are getting pissed. Murphy needs to stated what the metrics are for the next opening phase. He is way too subjective.

Yeah, instead of getting pissed, they should do something proactive about it. Which is what we were discussing.

Brazil has some interesting, and maybe head scratching, graphs.

Their case trends have continued on a fairly steady upward trend(bit of a hitch 3 or so weeks ago but overall upward) and has nearly doubled since early June, while their death graph has plateaued at around 1000 deaths per day during that time.

I think we should start relaxing restrictions but in a way to avoid super spreading events. The virus seems to greatly restricted by avoiding certain behaviors (large indoor gatherings with no restrictions being #1 on the list). At risk folks will have to decide their personal risk tolerance for indoor dining etc. I think opening indoor bars and restaurants without any restrictions would be foolish. Start with limited capacity and proper spacing, etc. I wish I had more data on outdoor sporting events because my gut says opening it up fully could be a huge mistake even though outdoors.
Great post. KEY PHRASE: At risk folks will have to decide their personal risk tolerance ......

India continues it's upward trend on both graphs, over 60K new cases for 4 straight days, first legitimate(aside from a couple past recording day spikes) 1K new deaths.

Their case and deaths per million is definitely still super low relative to others, but their trends are certainly concerning.

A lot wrong with that tweet, with responses from both side of the debate.

First being that the positive % early on was through the roof because we tested so few people. Much better to use more current testing #'s which is (edit) about 7.5% for the country.

From the other side of the debate I would ask what that % would be without restrictions.

Another obvious response is that 10% is a high number. It's been noted for months that you want to be below 5%. NJ is currently below 2%.

Then you stay home and we’ll go to the games.

Not one league, or association, or conference in the country(world even?) is allowing fans, so neither you, nor I are even able to make that choice.

Now I don't fault them, but I'd definitely go to a Rutgers game if fans were allowed.

Can we please stop posting misleading tweets from random Twitter handles who have an agenda to push?
I think it can certainly be said that the NYT's or Fox News have their agenda's, but at least these are credible institutions. Flimsy agenda driven tweets from Joe Schmoe are negatives in terms of good discussion.

I thought polling shows people think he is handling the pandemic fine. In fact I saw a poll that more people said they wanted to go slower not faster in reopening

But the old and rich people that this board is comprised of don’t approve.

There are people over the age of 55 in this country.

Edit: And who is Alex Berenson?
a former NY times reporter who got fired for bad reporting. He then became an anti-marijuana advocate, and he lobby's states against legalizing marijuana because he says it would be a danger to public health. He has now dubbed himself the "covid contrarian". He says lockdowns killed many, saved none, and that masks don't work. He is on Fox sometimes.

Haven't watched Maddow in years. More bs from you. NJ far more dense. This is why we laugh at your posts.

Sounds like another bac retweet that will vanish within 24 hours.

You really can't complain too much about his mindless tweets polluting the thread because they have a way of cleaning themselves up.
