Please please go the extra mile and send the donations to one of the RU Football funds or even RU Athletics. Just post what information the site is requesting and I or others can get it for you.
does football or athletics have a separate tax id?

Also i wasn't sure what to write so i kept it short and sweet. Let me know if i should change the language, or if someone can write something more eloquent i'm all for it. I'm in no state to write anything deep at this point.

first, theRU thank you for setting it up.

so i don't know what the settings are within, but looks like we might have the option to actually refund donors if Flood isn't fired:
http://support.gofundme.com/hc/en-us/articles/203604214-How-do-I-issue-a-refund-to-a-donor-

this may be great because it'd be that dangling carrot to RU admin - if you don't fire him, you're not getting ANYTHING.

one thing that might be good in the write-up, is perhaps just to explain that it's going to the rutgers fund and their tax id, so people will feel more comfortable that it's legitimate?

On the round table board they deleted the thread twice. Why? Who can delete threads?

Don't worry, when the fanbase becomes full blown apathetic and it reverts back to the Shea days, sites like this will cease to exist. Already they have been running membership specials on TOS due to decreasing memberships. Their mods quickly found out that RU losing can actually financially hurt their wallets. Same will happen here. Only a matter of time.

This is like a darker version of all the townspeople raising money for George Bailey in "It's a Wonderful Life".

This might be my favorite post I've ever seen on this board.

No problem, i really wish it didnt come down to this. I dont think that the charity fundraising works that way. THe charity selected get the money regardless. If i had been the one earmarked to receive the money, i could then choose when to "cash out" or choose to refund ( probably with a penalty).

You've always been one of the more level headed ones. Why would you call this classless? I know you love Rutgers. Why would you openly support someone who is causing unbelievable harm to the University you love?

Some of you guys are rediculous. If Saban himself said he wanted to coach Rutgers for $1 more than Flood, the same guys calling this classless would be the first ones offering to pick him up from the airport.

you shouldn't be a moderator if you are going to attack posters.

I always thought this site was more balanced than TOS. TOS is filled with members who are kool aid drinking floodies and will shout down anyone who dare say anything about Flood to the point where their membership started decreasing affecting the bottom line for the two dudes who run the site. When BD saw how his wallet was getting hit, he tried to be more objective but even he got the wrath of the floodies. Looks like this site is starting to look just as bad.

If it were up to me, this thread would be gone and you would be banned, but the other mods think a thread like this is appropriate for the official rivals rutgers site. If that is the sort of thing that this site stands for, no matter who the coach is, I'm not going to be associated with it.

King: what's the difference between $1 from 1.4mil fans and $1.4mil from one fan? The gofundme pledge is simply a bunch of micro-boosters united.

So what you're saying is that if a stance is taken in a thread by a significant number of board members, if it isn't a stance you personally agree with you feel the thread should be deleted and posters banned as a result?

I always thought the job of moderators was to moderate, not to be the thought police. -Who's choosing these guys for this position anyway?

While i absolutely agree with your comments, lets get back to the issue at hand here. Please continue to spread the word. Every dollar counts... Every share on facebook, twitter, instagram is important. We need to unite as a fanbase and be heard loud and clear that we demand excellence.

He's not levelheaded at all

He's not levelheaded at all
No he is. He just needs to stop letting the fireman and the rest of his grassy knoll buddies do the thinking for him. He can see with his own eyes four years of incompetence that is Kyle Flood.

You might be able to raise a few bucks this way but it will be no where near enough to make any difference. The University knows the position of the fan base, and now you are are giving them unconditional donations. And not even getting yourselves priority points in the process. You don't have 1.4 million people behind this. If you come up with $10,000, I'll be very impressed with the effort. I'm a moderator because I look out for the well being of scarletnation.com. sometimes that means not waging open war with the football dept whom grants access to the program which is what many of you guys pay for. I don't care who the coach is or how I feel about a coaching change. This thread is in the worst intereat of the site, which is a private business. I anticipate there will be consequences for SN because of this thread, and no benefit.
