I’m Pretty Happy We Aren’t In The Mix

If you cant differentiate between a parent making a decision with their child and a parent calling a coach and telling him the kid will be on the team , then my friend you need to tell Rutgers to refund whatever tuition you paid them. You are a full blown retard

I missed the reports of LeBron calling coaches.
Can you link please?
Or are you flipping out over a quote?
Because everything people say on the internet is true and happens.

Preferably with simple words.
Don't want my weak mind to be hurt much try read.

I started the thread saying I dont want the kid as I don’t think the aggravation is worth it . I still believe that. You disagreed. I’m totally ok with that. You then backed your opinion up with falsehoods while I took the time to point out the coaches LBJ has ruined. I’m all for debate but you can’t choose your own facts. I’m guessing a very very very small percentage of your 15k+ posts are researched. Just your knee jerk reactions. As I said earlier you may be better off reading more and posting less. I know that will be hard for you being the smartest guy here 🤡 but just try it.

Looks like I was correct after all about he didn't get recruited.

I can confirm the staff has never talked to Bronny lol, but would've if had been open at all to coming to Rutgers.

Also let's be honest he was never going to an Adidas school.
This was from Richie tonight in another thread.

Guess who the clown is now.

I think you are missing my meaning.
Indeed. But perhaps some light has been shed on your meaning now.

Ah damn. Never mind. I looked at the light and it moved. Now it’s shed upon some different thing.

Am again uncertain about your position, but your momentum is solid.

A little over the top man.

I think LeBron is a respectable man and role model on most fronts.

Still, his hypocrisy with China and rush to judgement on the police shooting, etc are definitely questionable and he tends to sometimes make those mistakes. It's also going to be a media circus whether it's his fault, or just rhe attention he rightfully commands, so I'd get that some don't want the program to be involved in all of that hype.
100% !!
Not to mention how HE demanded a better deal for EVERYONE at ATT Mobile and is taking over that lovely young women's job... 😉

But of course somebody's got to try and make it into a race thing when the whole point of the OP was the distraction angle.

Like they would know better than the local Rivals site...lol. It appears that it was all clickbait to drive a storyline to put the spotlight on the program. You took the bait and swallowed hard.
I cant argue here. I can't think of anyone on the board that knows more than you about swallowing hard.

How old are you Nick? This NBA may be all you know

38 but not sure how that is relevant.
I didn't even comment on where Lebron ranks (I'd have him 2 in my lifetime but obviously have only seen highlights of Bird, Magic, Russell etc).

Does Shaq count as an authority or is he too young as well?
He even ranks himself behind LeBron.
https://www.sportscasting.com/where...lf-on-the-nba-all-time-greatest-players-list/

How old does the authority have to be that people should use?

It's not being an authority, it's being exposed and familiar to something.

Can you be exposed and familiar to something that you didn't witness personally?
Just trying to figure out where "age" comes into play - since you brought it up.
Sounds like your agreeing that age doesn't matter and it's actual intelligence and knowledge.

To which I would say, how much have people really been exposed to or are familiar with LeBron's playing career?
Most people say they don't watch the NBA and haven't for years. So then what exposure is there? Off-court stuff which doesn't matter?

See - all the posts about so and so is or should be a 1st round pick to get a gauge on modern NBA exposure or familiarity.

Really not, and you are entitled to your opinion
I would take Charles Barkley over Lebron especially young Charles

Funny enough Barkley takes Lebron over both Shaq and himself.
But what does he know.

I think his biggest issue is his low self esteem
It prevented him from winning an NBA title

fyi

Weird article.

The headline claims there are a thousand hoops to jump through. But the body of the article makes the headline look like pure hyperbole.

Also, logically, it's hard to imagine any coach, who actually has a realistic chance and wants to recruit the kid, speaking out negatively to the media like that. Doing so would kill any chance of recruiting the kid.

Which makes it sound like the Post looked around until they found a couple coaches with no chance or no interest in the kid to make some negative comments about the process. Probably speaking second or third-hand.

Basketball is a team game, as it relates to lebron’s team stacking up any of his championship teams against for example
Teams from the magic Bird era, the Jordon Bulls, Detroit Piston era the Kobe Shack era he would have zero nada zilch championships!
Charles Barkley’s sixer teams even his Suns’s teams would have stood in the way of his championships. And as far as his Miami heat teams go he wasn’t even the best player on those teams
Case closed!!!!
Don’t care enough about the current state of the NBA or even lebron to further debate this issue.
This era of NBA basketball suxs!!! Even more than the period between the Knicks, Celtics Lakers Bullets Bucks early to mid 70’s and when Magic and Bird saved the NBA!
Mid 70’s to early 80’s was unwatchable. The current NBA even worse!

We don’t need Lebron in Jersey Mike’s. Too liberal; too contraversional. We have great TEAM players coming in. Son can go elsewhere

Bronny's not a team player? Oh didn't realize that.
I don't follow recruiting but you must have seen a lot of tape on him for such a conclusion.

Also, LeBron likely never sets foot in Jersey Mike's even if Bronny did come here.

I could see there being hoops to jump through and that being frustrating for a college coach.
But it makes sense.

It is one of the most famous families in the country (and probably the world).
I doubt the mom is just sitting around all day waiting for coach's to swing by.

Sure, there might be an extra level of protection for the kid of a wealthy superstar like his dad. But the article headline still comes across as hyperbole. Seems like a hit piece.

I don't know, I don't visit or consume stuff from any media outlets except AP, and even then I skip most articles. Perhaps that's all the media is these days; one hyperbolic agenda-driven article after another. It was heavily trending in that direction when I stopped consuming it all, and that was over a decade ago.

Yeah...sometimes there is race stuff. This isn't one of them. And took me a second but good one!

Maybe it's me but Lebron just seems to not be a very likable guy.
When I watched that Netflix show on the Redeem Team I really enjoyed listening to Dwayne Wade and even Carmelo (who I never was a big fan). But not so much with Lebron.
I guess it's a personality thing.

So now we're banning people from with certain political/ideological leans from being on the team? No liberals, no conservatives, nobody who identifies as left or right or Rep or Dem.

But why stop at limiting who can join the team. Why not apply that same limit to who can be a fan? Let's ban our political opposition from attending games at the RAC altogether, player, coach or fan. We should probably also ban independents, centrists, and moderates, right? Those fence-sitting bastards are even worse, with their "reasonableness" and their "open-mindedness". Bah!

Here, you can use this ready-made, short but fully accurate, questionnaire at the entrance to the RAC to sort 'em all out...

Rutgers Sports Political Orientation Self-Identification Form
1. What color fur do you have when hopping onto the partisan mouse wheel to chase each other around?
2. Which flavor of IQ-sapping, shepherding, brain-washing, propaganda news do you like best?

When people hand in the form, we just take 'em out back and shoot them without even reading the response. Because, although they may self-identify a certain way now, some extremist sub-group of real geniuses will spring up soon enough and exclude all less extreme folks. Eventually, there will just be two people left and they'll shoot each other for not being 100% in lock-step with their personal version of the latest hyper-extreme policies.

Problem solved. I'm a problem solver. I hope this helps. 😉

Don't most people say he is only ranked high because of his name?
The only reason he is a potential 1st round pick is because of trying to lure his dad to the same team?

Seems that's exactly what he's trying to prove wrong.

So you want the guy who grew up in the projects without a father, who was handed the world at 15 years old, labeled the Chosen One on the cover of Sports Illustrated yet somehow EXCEEDED expectations by becoming arguably the best basketball player the world has ever seen, who has never had a serious scandal - no drugs, partying, or unfaithfulness to his high school sweetheart, the man who opened a school that will provide thousands of graduates with free college tuition, who has by ALL accounts been the tremendous father he never had….you want THAT guy, nowhere near the Rutgers basketball program?

Btw please save your Fox News regurgitated response for someone who hasn’t already seen it a million times. We all know what’s coming, so please just save it.
Calm down. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I do not care for him because of his affiliation with China. Again, my opinion. And no need to be insulting and bring politics into the discussion. That’s childish.

I must have missed that stuff. I really haven't heard it. He's clearly a talented player. I'd just prefer talented players without the baggage for RU.

Were you a fan for the majority of his career before the China stuff a few years ago?
