This is just not true. You can blame NIL but Cam and Paul both left as grad transfers which has been allowed for over a decade at this point. Also put blame for this product on bad recruiting by the staff in the portal this year (Fernandes, Austin Williams) and a truly awful high school class in 2022 (Simpson, Wolf, Chol) which is easily the worst class of players Pike has brought in. Not a single one of them should be playing in the Big Ten

Where in my post did I mention NIL?
I just said that this is the product of the portal. Which it is. Unfortunately, when two starters transfer out, this will happen. Yes, poor recruiting has been an issue but we are in an era of college sports where high turnover is going to be common. And everyone knows that’s a bad recipe for success. Sometimes you’re on the right side of the portal and other times you’re on the wrong side. We’ve had good luck in the past, but unfortunately this year we’re on the wrong side. Oh well

I can’t believe him to the nba was a thing. He has no offense besides alley oops. Misses many rebounds. Defensively is ok at best
