No. 21 Rutgers Wrestling Opens 2022-23 Dual Season with Clarion at College Ave. Gym, road Saturday to face Sacred Heart and No. 6 Arizona State

It's small time. Goodale has grown the program well past that and that's a credit to him, that it's now become an event. It was a bad call by the AD to move them in favor of a sport that drew maybe 500 fans and has become an afterthought.

Are we going to see Janzer today? My gut feeling is no since we got Toranzo yesterday. Otherwise why not use Epperly unless the plan is for him to wrestle both matches today?

Rokfin is charging $24.99 to watch this today? Does that sound correct?
Yep. Another example of this sport being completely backwards. Want to watch all your teams matches? Just subscribe to these 7 different places for $10+ a month.

Oh you already have subscriptions? Forgot to mention this even costs an additional $15. Total joke

Yup. I don't even bother with Rockfin or Flo.

I did Flo for a year when they had Big 10 rights. I really enjoyed their content, but I’m not paying $200 bucks for the year for it when NCAA wrestling is a 4 month sport.

I have a Rutgers BTN subscription and got a promo for $40 for the year for all Rutgers content. I’m good with that now. Just wish there was a way everything could be consolidated. Too many people with their hands in the pot.

DeSantis worked hard to get to where he is but Clark is definitely the better wrestler. Wouldn’t put a on of stock into this match as is sounds like the aggressiveness is up across the board with SHU being a lesser opponent than Clarion. Clark isn’t going to score a ton of points but he’s smothering on top and isn’t going to give up a ton either unless he’s severely outclassed.

Boone put on 30 to 40 lbs. You're telling me if Poz takes a redshirt year, he can't get up to 200 to 205lbs and cut to 197lbs. That's 16 to 20 lbs. Can easily do that.
Both Poz and Soldano are capable of putting on muscle weight if they dedicated enough time in the weight room and ate properly. Most young guys like to eat, so that part shouldn't be difficult. I don't expect either one will cut to 174 and I certainly hope not, so if both are going to be in the line-up, one will need to get bigger and stronger. I didn't follow Poz until his senior year but saw that Soldano was gaining size and going up in weight during high school. I thought he might not have stopped growing, thus my thinking that he could grow into a solid 197.

Agree completely, but it's good to see anyway.

Lost 3-0 to Clark in the Princeton Open finals
Yeah, well they wrestle each other all the time in practice. Matches against other opponents and how they produce in matches are what matters. That's where we see Clark fade all the time, where DeSantis keeps coming.

Freeman 7-2 win. Love the way he was throwing the boots in for the first period, by the 3rd he was sucking wind hard.
