Georgia Tech picked up two graduate transfers, who are immediately eligible. 6-8 forward Kellen McCormick (Tim's son) from Western Mich. and 6-7 forward Jodan Price from Eastern Mich. Both averaged around 4.4 ppg and 1.5 rpg.
Sounds like either one of these guys would have been good for us, at least from a depth perspective.
Tech isn't likely to be making an NCAA run this year, so maybe there is someone out there who can fill a need like this for us.

Driving me bananas that we aren't going after a 5th year guy.

The coaches ,from what I understand, are relentlessly pursuing just that. They are a duracell bunny clones but 5th year seniors want to go to a place where they can win in that last year.
At the moment we cannot offer that.

Actually this is even more disturbing. Rice was able to land a 5th year after the program was in shambles thanks to FHJ. There are kids out there, and I am afraid the program is just too broken for players to commit. I am really hoping this doesn't carry over to the 2017 recruiting class.

The program is much worse off now than when Rice took over... partly because of Rice.

Time for blame is over and time for hope should start because of the way Pikiell gathered a great staff .

Rice took over a dysfunctional program from Freddie and knew what needed to be done to improve it. MR just went about doing it the wrong way, even though he was a pretty good HC, and the program and all involved paid dearly for his mistakes.

Jordan inherited a disaster ( from Rice) and his tenure didn't improve on it one bit , leaving Pikeill a program that needs to be rebuilt in every way and a fanbase that has been waiting for a HC that can bring results for many many years .
But Pikiell seems to know to improve RU MBB and knows a good staff will make that job a lot easier.

The program seems to have been worse off every HC RU hired ever since Waters left.
Hill left Rice a dysfunctional program, Rice left Jordan a disaster and Jordan left Pikiell
a program that seems to have been leaderless from the coaching staff down .

Pikiell inherited a dysfunctional disaster but has taken steps to make me think that dysfunctional disaster will turn into a pretty good program under him
