She shouldn’t be playing 3 minDid not realize how old this squad was. Rapinoe is 38 now!!! That is insane. You cannot be playing 90 minutes at 38 unless your name is Ronaldo.

Spain-England final.Here's my total WAG...
Netherlands - Japan
France - Colombia (since England will be without James)
France over Netherlands for the WC. My biggest hope is that none of these games ends in PKs.
You needed to bring that up a second time?Spain-England final.
Sorry. You're right. I'll stop. You needed to bring that up a second time?
Spain I get but anybody who didn’t have England in their final is nutsSorry. You're right. I'll stop.
But your predictions WERE so epically bad.
The only reason I didn't was knowing that James was out for two matches - thought maybe that would have a bigger impact, given that she's coming into her own as one of the best players in the world and given her dominant performance in the group stage (3 goals/3 assists).Spain I get but anybody who didn’t have England in their final is nuts
Agreed. Very entertaining back and forth action with lots of crisp passing. Redondo probably should've scored for Spain on that shot that Earps saved.Had to get up to watch the final. Very entertaining start. Both teams attacking and England rips one off the crossbar.
Agree with the commentary that this is probably not going to be the only goal in this game.Huge goal for Spain
Letter of the law, it's a PK, but I kind of agree with you that it was harmless. Huge save by Earps!! On replay, it really looked like Earps stepped forward before her dive, so they could've ruled a re-kick.This will be a lousy way for this game to be put out of reach. Such a harmless handball
I agree, but it was the right call. Terrible take on the PK though. This will be a lousy way for this game to be put out of reach. Such a harmless handball
Her back foot was still behind the line. I think she timed it perfectlyLetter of the law, it's a PK, but I kind of agree with you that it was harmless. Huge save by Earps!! On replay, it really looked like Earps stepped forward before her dive, so they could've ruled a re-kick.
Completely agree. I really thought England would have been stronger. Spain will be a big challenge for the USA for years to comeThe better team won. England giving the ball away left and right in the last 15 minutes or so.
I was sleeping, like all normal people do until after 9am.Where's @mildone? Perhaps another blow-filled inflatable sheep incident...
Translation: I was busy spooning a hooker in a sheep onesie. At least I think it was a hooker in a sheep onesie. 😉I was sleeping, like all normal people do until after 9am.
I tuned out of the tournament after the USWNT was out.
I'm like 99% sure it was a hooker in a sheep onesie. But there was tequila, mushrooms and peyote.Translation: I was busy spooning a hooker in a sheep onesie. At least I think it was a hooker in a sheep onesie. 😉
Especially since they also won the U-17 and U-20 World Cups.Completely agree. I really thought England would have been stronger. Spain will be a big challenge for the USA for years to come
I don't think she reached out for the ball though. Looked to me like she was trying to hook the player from getting by. Either way it was a PK handball. Her hand was too wide from her body and kind of looked like she reached for the ball too. I think it was a legit call. The gamesmanship by the English player might have helped on that bad shot haha.
