Now, with only 12 games remaining and this team a stinking pile of dog poo, I think we can finally say, put a fork in them. They are done, done, done. Hopefully goodbye Boone, Sanchez, Chapman, Gleybor and other underachieving piles of mess.
He means Cole can say goodbye to the Cy Young award this year.
Just clarifying poster’s intent. I do recall Cole’s name being mentioned in the Cy Young discussion quite a bit a few weeks back.

Same shit, different game... can't score a runner from 3B with less than two outs and ground into double plays inning after inning.

Update... after seven innings, they've failed to score a run from third with less than two outs on four different instances. How can a MLB team be so inept at executing goddamn fundamentals?

BTW: Can we finally stop the experiment at SS and put Velasquez back where he belongs? Of course, to do that, they'd have to bring him back from the minors. Send Heaney packing and problem solved .

I love to complain about Torres but that home plate slide last night was out of this world.
The Boston and Toronto series are essentially best of 3 playoff series. If they lose either one of those series, they're done.

The young kids who were a big part of the 13 game win streak are no longer on the team or are benched. We were last in the majors in steals then have a record 24 steals with the young crowd. Now we are back to home run and strike out
Last night Tyler Wade pinch ran for Higashioka and promptly stole second and third. Unfortunately he was stranded there.
I'm still not in the hopeful crowd, but they are playing a ton better in the past four games. It's good to see them get a lot of hits and have the bullpen pitch well.
