The reactions here last evening were mild compared to Twitter. LFGM, get a win today. Sure would be nice to have McNeil and Marte in the lineup, which makes a huge difference.

fWAR is Fangraphs WAR. It's the big one along bWAR which is WAR from Baseball Reference. They use different calculations on a few things.

With the crap lineup we're throwing out there it shouldn't be much of a surprise that there is a struggle to score runs. As you said need Marte and McNeil back and then need to get DH figured out. Need a new proven bat there. Doesn't appear they are going to give Vientos a shot so trade market it will be. Having Jankowski and Inciarte on the roster is puke worthy.

Just for some fun but Orlando Arcia has been dreadful. That was not an improvement over Albies. .248/.324/.360 and that's with his hot start that I mentioned would come down. He's been so bad recently they had to trade for even worse Robinson Cano.

Oh, come on now on Arcia. You are not giving him a fair chance! He came out too fast out the gate, batting .389 in May, and slow and steady wins the race. 🐢 Batting .148 in July.

But to a point, when the starters are not available (McNeil, Marte), this is what you get. It's nothing to freak out over. Mets still lead the season series with Braves, and should they lose today, they are tied for the season.

But there are other factors. Nimmo's number trended way down in June and are continuing in July, unless OPS is your thing.

Alonso is having an awful July so far. And the production from catcher, JD, Dom and Escobar has been pathetic. It is amazing they are still in first place.

I live about 12 miles from Truist Park and am at work in the heart of midtown about 11 miles away. Right now the skies are fine. Just partly cloudy but nothing ominous.

We play them again around mid-August. In addition to Marte and Mcneil I'm pretty confident that the roster will have a few other new additions by then.

Nido stands a mile off the plate. All pitchers are doing is throwing sliders off the plate, knowing Nido has no coverage and he's a free swinger. Nido should move closer to the plate, and who knows? He might make contact more often.

He is way below his career average of .253. Was shocked to see he hit 35 HRs in 2019 and 22 in 2019 for Arizona.
