They spoke about a highly visible meteor shower but didn't mention the Northern Lights - way too much light pollution in NYC

If you are reading this before April 25, put Northern Lights into your Twitter search - amazing images

I saw a lot of locals posting NL pics a few weeks ago.
Many said they could not see the NL with naked eye
They only saw them in their photos

I was looking and to quote one of my fav movies……we ain’t found sh1t.

A few years back, I visited Iceland. One night, we took a tour about 90 minutes outside Reykjavik (to avoid light pollution) to try to see the Northern Lights. This was in February — my most impactful memory was how cold it was.

We did see the lights, but what you see with your naked eye is much more muted than what high end cameras are able to capture.

Great experience though, and I highly recommend Iceland as a travel destination.
