Nebraska with a pathetic finish to the season…..does Drake have any shot at an at large if they lose today? They’re up 7 against Bradley so doubt it matters, just curious.
Totally moot now, they pulled away late. I saw Jerry Palm on CBS saying yesterday that they would not get an at large. I instinctively assumed that was wrong because Jerry Palm was saying it.
BAC is infinitely better than Palm.

Agreed, I don’t understand how CBS keeps trotting Palm out there every year and he never seems very good at bracketology, plus he’s not good on TV. I don’t get it.
Hope you’re right. I feel like it’s in Michigan’s interest for Purdue to win since a loss to Purdue won’t be bad. If they lose to Rutgers or SC, that could be costly. And when you’re playing poorly, avoiding bad losses matters as much as getting good wins

They’re coached by the modern day Steve Lavin so they’ll probably be a 12 seed and get to the S16, and then we will hear how he proved critics wrong again from the sycophants at ESPN

Well when Ohio State Nebraska Texas Boise all lose as well and the first 3 now have 14 losses this is what you get
This is the opposite of last year where 5 schools left out could make strong cases

Watch UNC be the last team out and then Vitale, Bilas and ESPN spending 30 minutes on Selection Sunday talking about how UNC got screwed and the message is UNC should have scheduled nobody.
His days at CBS are over...
Agree that he's not a "TV guy"...reminds me of Ken Pomeroy, but Ken stuck to the website to make his $. Jerry was a pioneer with bracketology, the RPI, forcing the NCAA to be more transparent about the selection process and their numbers, etc. There isn't anyone that understands the bracketing process better than Jerry...interested to see where he lands, since he's a great resource to have on board somewhere, but don't think TV is his best match (though wouldn't be shocked if someone like Fox or NBC picked him up since he also covers the football side).
Yeah forgot to post this last week.Palm was excellent when his baby the RPI was used but he's been awful in the NET era. You better believe him being at the bottom of the Matrix led to this decision
Fans of about 150 schools think that Palm, Lunardi, and/or any other bracketologist hates their school.
I'd highly doubt that CBS cares about the Bracket Matrix...I'd think that they'll look for someone that can fill this role and other roles (ie, can also cover college hoops year round, is more "tv friendly", possibly does radio, is more engaging on twitter and pushes out more content, etc). He was a bit one dimensional for the current media environment.
