OT- It's Going to Be Too Hot for the Next Several Days

Either deal with it or do what I did. Move to San Diego for 14 years where there is no weather. Just sun.And no complaining.

Mid to upper 80's today through Sunday. Too hot for this time of year. Miss the snow and cold.

What are you doing to beat the heat? Ocean temps too cold for swimming at the beach. Forecast for Belmar appears to be 5-10 degrees lower than rest of NJ.

Will likely hit the pool and may go kayaking in the Manasquan River, because that other thread was an inspiration.
It's Labor Day weekend and it's going to be hot???? Shocking, I tell you just shocking!! Alert the media!![eyeroll]

It's Labor Day weekend already? Crap, summer is over? Did RU beat Washington?
HA ,my bad LOL ..and yes Rutgers crushed them!!

Last year in the month of May we had 21 days above average temps several in the 90s. This weekend last year was hotter than this weekends forecast. Remember that "Memorial Day" is almost a week later this season

yes last May was very warm and dry although Memorial Day weekend had a rather cool day at the beaches..it was dry until May 31 when we had a deluge of like 3 inches and then we had rain like that whole first week in June with temps in the 60s and didnt really get back into the summer groove until mid June

Id rather have the crappy weather out of the way in May with a nice summer pattern for June..might get my wish

I really enjoyed this spring. Meteorological summer begins on June 1st, so it's not unusual to have days in May up near or even over 90F. Thought it was warm, but not unbearable today. I don't love the heat or the sun (burn easily), but I've never let it affect doing outdoor things - likely to play my first round of golf this season on Friday. First snowflakes are less than 6 months away...

the weenies always start posting about less than a month until the days start getting shorter again...oh those white pasties

move to Maine

I considered moving to Portland, Oregon at one point, which is a bit cooler in the summer and more temperate in the winter, but it would have meant a $17K pay cut at the time, so I nixed it. All in all, though, I'd gladly trade a little summer discomfort for all the other benefits NJ gives over somewhere like Maine.

NJ legitimately is about as far south as I'd be able to comfortably live. Usually the summers are pretty decent, with some hot streaks where I can stay inside. My wife bears more of the brunt, as she gets dizzy if she's in the sun too long over 80 degrees (which leaves me finding friends to take her ticket for early season noon games).

I'm also not a big fan of snow, fwiw. My ideal climate is probably somewhere along the west coast of Ireland.

Gman, Have to go to a concert at a winery in West Windsor at 1. I may have to rent a helicopter to drop me on Tenton Social for a quickie and then back to the show.Enjoy yourself..

This is the first year I haven't had something planned. Last year it was the Monmouth park Food truck festival (too crowded).

There will be a pork roll coma in my future. Enjoy the wine!

do you also use your phone while in the movie theater or do you prefer to sit home and watch movies on your tablet

I would use my phone in the movie the once a year or so I go. But I go after most of the get off my lawn crowd is long in bed. I don't own a tablet. Laptop, iPhone and TV does me fine.
