That’s what I’m seeing too.

So is green rain and the gray snow?

no...gray is lighter echoes, green is heavier echoes and yellow is really heavy mofo

dont go by colors some of the green is rain but some is snow...you know in the usual locations where it rains

The big pretty snowflakes from yesterday have now been replaced with furious sideways blowing snow. In Warren, I have to have at least a foot already, but the drifts are darn big (15+ inches).

Yes... I looked at some old invoices from 2016. That January storm I billed for 28 inches.

How do you bill for snow? I have a neighborhood kid coming over tomorrow and I planned to give him $100 dollars. He was very happy with that last time. It took him 2 hours with his quad.

Having a little trouble with the new NHS radar on my phone...is green rain and the gray snow?

Or do I have it backwards?

Peeking out the window right now it looks like rain. But the radar says I’m right on the line.

Can’t stand the new radar on NWS

Has anybody been out on the roads? Wondering what shape they’re in in Central Jersey.
I planned on making mac & cheese and realized this morning that I forgot to get breadcrumbs, which are a necessity for good mac & cheese. ShopRite is probably a mile and a half away.
Crackers will do in a pinch.

So the auger in my craftsman snowblower just decided to stop turning. It's not jammed and the blade pins aren't broken. Any insight on common solutions?

i hate it too, its god awful, not sure what the point was

The Accuweather radar is pretty good, with blue for snow and green for rain. Shows the dark blue death band from Lancaster, PA through Somerset County

All I see is about 13 “ of snow on the ground and that was at noon. Some drifting from the winds gusting between 17-20... as predicted on Channel 12 New Jersey news starting at 12 noon... bands of snow ... heavy snow 2”-4” per hour possible ... snow ending around 5 pm Tuesday... nice to be warm and inside.

First stage or second stage? If second stage, did you blow and then had it sit for a while in the cold? If yes it might have frozen behind the plate. That happened to me and had to use the hair dryer to loosen it up.

If first stage you could have issues with the gearing.

How are the temps looking for aft/evening in terms of rain/snow line?
Specifically, I’m in Cranford.

Thanks.

But it doesn’t pass the “looking out the window” test for right now.

it is definitely not passing the looking outside test. accuweather had my location with a big old spot of no precip. i can tell you that it hasn't stopped for a second since i woke up this morning.

This one I posted earlier above is total accumulation (by inches of precip not snow). You can see what areas have been hit hardest, especially in the last hour. Looks like Bridgewater and Ringoes have been hit hard.

Check to see if anything bent or fell off a pulley on the wire that engages. If you can tug on the wire and it engages you know to keep looking in this direction.

Could be a broken belt?
