Going to be a sleepless night for me and I just hope I don’t get punched in the gut like last year with bauer

Bauer doesn’t belong in the same sentence. I wasn’t a big fan of his last year. Didn’t mind not getting him but he did piss me off the way he played.Same here , don’t want to wake up in middle of night and see Max went elsewhere
Lol. Meant punched.Better than getting punched in the gut, I guess.
The irony is that we all agree we dodged a bullet with Bauer.
What we don't know is whether Cohen was willing to sign Scherzer and Gausman both. To continue the recruiting analogy, maybe the Gausman offer was not immediately commitable, and Gausman didn't want to be slow played.Bauer doesn’t belong in the same sentence. I also still think Sandy is a problem. Again, another guy, Gausman, who signs elsewhere for less
Hopefully if true to sign both, the Gausman money can be used for Stroman...perfect #3 pithcer for rotationWhat we don't know is whether Cohen was willing to sign Scherzer and Gausman both. Mad Max and Stroman would be perfect signings for the 2 and 3 spots in the rotation.Hopefully if true to sign both, the Gausman money can be used for Stroman...perfect #3 pithcer for rotation
I think MS is more than just the player for the Met's. They need to win one of these battles. Max should still have a couple of very good years in him and then be a solid 2 or 3 for the last year or two. It is a lot of money but it may be an investment in perception.I wanted Gausman instead. This is so dumb. Scherzer is going to be 38 this season. You hope you get a good year or two out of him but pay him max value for 4? However, there is almost no one else out there and the Mets need about 4 starters..5 if Jake is injured.
This along with Marte would be a huge off season...I still want Stro here. He proved he can pitch at a high level in NY last year and that is huge.Mad Max and Stroman would be perfect signings for the 2 and 3 spots in the rotation.
Stro has tweeted his way out of here the last week. Liking tweets calling beat writers ethnic slurs is way over the line. This along with Marte would be a huge off season...I still want Stro here. He proved he can pitch at a high level in NY last year and that is huge.
Is the is good news or bad news? Does re - engaged mean talks stopped at some point? Does coming to a head mean decision time imminently? Help!🙏

Yup 3 years $130 million. Was nervy about a 4th year so this is fantastic!!Both Martino and Heyman say an agreement is near. Just working out minor details. Wow!
43 per for 3 years at 38…if he goes elsewhere- then we are just F’d
Opt out after 2 years. To me the remaining question is whether the contract includes an opt-out. Although it's hard to imagine anyone opting out of THAT contract.
