- JUCO F Candido Sa will next visit Western Kentucky. Sa visited RU over the weekend and Pitt is also in the mix.

- Guard Andrew Platek - who has visited RU and Butler - is starting to hear from UNC; Davidson; GW and other schools.

Really hoping for both. Platek can shoot the lights out and someone we haven't had in some time

The inability to close the relationship with recruits has been one of the biggest reasons for the failure of mens basketball. There always will be competition for recruits but Rutgers must start winning these battles if they ever expect to win on the court.

Already bailed on the new staff?
No, but simply stating a fact which applied to all the preceding coaches.I guess you must have been satisfied with the performance of the basketball program the last 25 years.

Sa will visit Texas this weekend according to Zags, big time competition for this one, we better have back up plans

He is a JUCO. He does not have four years to develop, where is he going to get the minutes?

Texas is loaded with big guys and Shaka Smart wants to add two more. One guy is speculating that Sa might be wanted just as a backup to shot block. I'm quite certain he would get many more minutes at RU. I doubt he would play a great deal at Texas but one never knows for sure. San Antonio is only a short distance from Austin.

The Platek guy just received an offer from North Carolina tarheels.
With the imminent NCAA violations penalties over the Tarheels head, at least they can offer an environment that we are accustomed to ... sitting at home during the tournament.

gotta love the talent we're going after

even if we average 1 for 20, we're going to land some serious studs...
