Match Thread: #1 Ohio St vs # 18 Rutgers (Intermat rankings), BTN TV, 12pm

I honestly didn't realize how good OSU was until I went to this match yesterday. I haven't really paid attention to the team race yet, but, wow it seemed like every wrestler that OSU put out was top 10.

I decided to bring some friends and I was debating between the PSU match and the OSU match, and I picked the OSU match because I thought we would put up a better fight. After the first 3 matches, I realized we would be in a for a long dual. However, the Deluca win and Richie's win made the experience well worth it.

I was surprised that Richie rode him out the final 30 seconds. Although he did a good job on top, that could have turned out to bite him in the ass.

Does anyone know why Mulligan didn't wrestle? Also, I assume Gravina didn't wrestle due to shoulder, am I correct?

As WNG didn’t answer the Mulligan question, it is easy to read between the lines.

YES, BUT a Snyder - Hermida matchup would have been the only match of the night with 2 ranked wrestlers. And BTN and Flo were streaming this match all over the world. If you want the regular season to matter more than it currently does, and you want to grow the sport, even a little, from the pay per view sport it is now, featured, matchups between ranked opponents should not be cancelled willy nillly.

Honestly that match-up will not break or make the regular season.Let's give Snyder some credit he flew out to New jersey to wrestle and unfortunately he could not make it to Maryland.

I'd take the heavyweights. Soccer is like cross country running with a ball. They should make prisoners of war watch my niece and nephew play everyday, It's pure torture.

I would take heavies just because it would be over in 10 or so minutes vs 2 hours of soccer.
