You told me to stay in my Mets thread, and you would do the same and stay in yours that's my issue. Well, really not an issue, but I figured I'd call you out on statements you make with no thought behind them. Did I miss quote you? I'll allow you to post wherever you want,👌
I'm a diehard baseball fan. Come to the Mets thread often just to get info. Rarely post. You did miss quote me. It's was about me following you and you following me was my point. As I have stated for years would love to see another Subway Series. I didn't bash any Mets poster.

I remembered that Callaway had issues in Cleveland which
1: Looks like Cleveland covered up his shenanigans before the Mets hired him,
2: If potential new bosses can easily find info on either of us getting parking tickets in 1997 or if we did anything on Callaway’s aledged level, I’m sure the Mets (and Angels) and their resources can find out through the grapevine that Callaway had some issues here and there.

Hell, it looks like Alex Cora and Carlos Beltran got fired for way less...

It does look like Cleveland ignored issues. As I said earlier was the Mets caught off guard. I defended the Mets in the beginning. The statement by MLB sounds like it was more well known. And it was a former group of the Mets. There is nothing implicated against the current Met organization

Never blamed current group. Just reminded that fans are still paying for the sins from the past. That’s all.

This behavior seems to be semi normal in some work environments- I am sure MC and Clev/Mets are the only people and places in MLB that this is overlooked.

I usually don’t argue with you much, though, for some strange reason you put me on ignore for not agreeing with your option on something...but I am pretty sure you did straight up say you weren’t coming over to our thread...

Was Calloway ever on the field with the Angels after they hired him and then news broke? I was under the impression they suspended him until the investigation was completed, no?

If Lindor is anything like what we've seen so far next season, and we have a middle infield of a .220 Lindor and over the hill Cano, this organization is forked. I believe though, Lindor rebounds from this disaster, has a below average year from what we all expected, .245, 20 HR, 60RBI, and 15 SB. Then hope he puts up much better after that going forward.

Will the Mets and baseball in general ever get this type of baseball back again? Scrappy, steals, hit behind runners, knock downs without hitting players, down in the dirt hustle baseball?

Would have taken 2 or 3 of those Bauer contacts over Lindor…just sayin’
Can't blame Met's on Bauer- he was using everyone to get what he really wanted. He is having a good year so it looks good so far but I wouldn't have given him that money.

I do still think Lindor will have big moments this year and some weeks he carries us. It's not like he and Dom have any protection right now.

But if he pulls himself to a .250 20 HR year - it would look bad on paper but would be a great 2nd half. I do think we will see something close to those number.

It is crazy and it is league wide. guys are going down, ready for fist action and then get shut down and out for a long period. This is a HUGE hit though.
We do need some of our regular players to get back soon though.

Went to the formerly known as Rotoworld site and 2 disastrous notes at the top on Mets injuries. 😩

That brings Noah to about late August if no more setbacks.

I don't know what's really wrong with Carrasco but starting to doubt we see him at all this year.

Will be in Arizona while Mets are in town May 31-June 2. Unfortunately, they have deGrom slated to start on May 30 in Atlanta (seems a long way out from his last start).
Anyway, which seats are best for perhaps getting a close up of some Mets. Box B row 5, next to dugout or Box D, row 2 over the dugout-tickets over Mets dugout right in front of first base:

May 30th is at Citi Field. Sunday night showcase on ESPN which means they couldn't be happier with how that worked out. Last Sunday night game it was David Peterson. Sigh.

That contusion on Dom's leg is going to put him on the IL.
Don’t know what’s worse: Watching all of these injuries happen year after year or waiting for Jim Dolan to trade away half the Knicks again for a washed up or overrated superstar like he did with Melo?

Bad hamstring injuries are just the worst. Personally gave up playing sports competitively due to hamstring injuries (survived the broken ankle, knee sprains, etc., but the last hamstring tear did me in).

Mazeika gets the start at 1B in Game 2, with McCann catching. Smith in LF. Szapucki added to roster as 27th man.

Their choices for 27th man were Szapucki, Tarpley, and McWilliams. That's it. They are the only healthy players on the 40 man who aren't already up.

Seems like you are not grasping the pattern. Without that post he likely gives up 7 there. 😅
Thanks for the jinx! One run did it last game. Not sure Lucheesy can go the distance in a shutout!! (my gawd, some negativity from the shift! Nobody everyone on this board hates the shift.) [roll]
