RU vs SHU 3/21 Round 1

Typical half: too many fouls, twice we blew a big lead.

That Seton 7-0 run at the half may turn the tide in this one.

At times we looked like we were asleep on offense, regarding shot clock and bad passes; Hollivay was not ready to receive a couple of passes.

At about the four(?) minute mark we ran two consecutive fast breaks with Cybthia wide open on the perimeter and although a good passing lane existed they ignored her.

OK, now a few positives:

Laney rebounding, Tyler's offense, Copper's layups, three pointers, and good defense.

This team can score in bunches and can score many points; we have to value each possession.

Wow, that thirteen point lead was short-lived.

I wonder if we should employ a non-post lineup like we did with Indiana?

The second half scenario is pretty clear with Scaife,Laney and Copper having to score in double digits and stay out of foul trouble.Seton Hall is getting inside/outside scoring. It will be a game of runs and hopefully Rutgers can stay the course. The winning team will probably score at least 70 points.

Can Laney and Copper find some driving lanes? Not all of those (good-looking) jump shots are going to fall; need points in the paint.

Don't overdo the fouling!

Hernandez can't guard without fouling, the price they pay for her good shooting.

Nothing comes easy with this group. They still look disorganized, get one, then give it right back. Grrrrr.

Fouling and ball handling is killing Rutgers but they still lead 55- 45.Copper has 20 points and 3 fouls.

It's probably because ESPN doesn't realize that, geographically, Staten Island is closer to Rutgers than I am up here in Bergen County.

The story of this season: build a big lead, blow it. Build it again, blow it again. They blow their leads with turnovers and un-smart play.

Time for RU to become RU ... Looks like another 2nd half collapse. Hope they pull it out. RU eventually needs to pull through on the clutch.

Game tied....abysmal....
Once again inventing new ways to screw up.

Looks like the team who plays the LEAST sloppy gets to play the overall number one seed.

SH is killing us with mid court pressure and stolen passes, which used to be OUR specialty.

We look so confused.

When you play 5 versus 3 on offense bad things happen offensively.Rutgers is a flawed team with a very small margin of error which means Scaife, Laney and Copper better be on their game .
